I just took my nclex and it shut off on 100 questions ( Does that mean I failed???!? Did anyone pass with 100 questions. Im freaking out.
i took exam on 26th. i got up to question 194 and i ran out of time. I found out this morning that i passed. So number of questions don't matter. barely passed is still a PASS just like people who passed on 85. Stop being rude or mean to others please.
The OP asked a question to which none of us knows the answer. No one is being mean or rude.
Didn't see any rudeness, just some levity. So many "freaking out, did I pass" posts. Who knows? Why ask the question? Do these posters think we know something they don't?Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I feel the same way about "Should I be a nurse?" and "Which school should I attend?" and "Is RN or OT the choice I should make?" posts! NO ONE can answer these questions for a poster. And the chances of finding someone who has attended the two schools the OP is talking about, or has been both an RN and an OT are slim to none.
*note to self, might want to switch to decaf.....
I feel the need to say that I just took NCLEX last week and suffered the mandated 48 hours while I waited for quick results. I may or may not have done the PVT in my insanity, but I'll never tell.
OP, no one knows, honey. You can pass at 75/85 or you can fail at 75/85. You can pass at 285/205, or you can fail at 285/205. The computer gives you questions that are harder or easier than the one you answered before and you are either above or below the passing mark when the test shuts off.
There aren't any tricks that are reliable, you just have to wait. xoxo
Okkkkkkkk.......So, Took the test the 29th. Brutal!!!!! I think I had 2m questions ran out of time was last person there, they almost locked me in at 8....was terrible.....was my second time......I was frazzled.....test was crazy.....if I see PVD one more time. Yep, first time I saw it was on the test and still can't get a straight answer on what it is!!!!! Peripheral Venous Device--and I KNOW that would not possibly be some stupid ridiculous dumb name for an IV that we have never heard of here in FLORIDA!!!! Whatever, I am over that.....so, at 2 am with my Mom who I am the primary caregiver for....we did the PVT together and AFTER MY 6 HOURS OF HELL........I got the good pop up....I had to even take a picture...and I am still hesitant but honestly....as a new nurse...I really don't think I'd kill anyone! I will be happy to share hoe I studied if any one is interested and good luck...and honestly.....why they have to throw new acronyms at us on NCLEX when we have NEVER used or heard of them before is NOT RIGHT!!!! I would be interested to hear what you guys have to say. Oh, worlds best kept secret......NCSBN REVIEW--UM, THEY GIVE THE TEST! Maybe their study material that is structured like the exam would be a good tool, just saying!( it is the only thing I used for the second NCLEX)!!!!
Looking forward to seeing my official pass results on-line!!!!! DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!
