  1. Okkkkkkkk.......So, Took the test the 29th. Brutal!!!!! I think I had 2m questions ran out of time was last person there, they almost locked me in at 8....was terrible.....was my second time......I was frazzled.....test was crazy.....if I see PVD one more time. Yep, first time I saw it was on the test and still can't get a straight answer on what it is!!!!! Peripheral Venous Device--and I KNOW that would not possibly be some stupid ridiculous dumb name for an IV that we have never heard of here in FLORIDA!!!! Whatever, I am over that.....so, at 2 am with my Mom who I am the primary caregiver for....we did the PVT together and AFTER MY 6 HOURS OF HELL........I got the good pop up....I had to even take a picture...and I am still hesitant but honestly....as a new nurse...I really don't think I'd kill anyone! I will be happy to share hoe I studied if any one is interested and good luck...and honestly.....why they have to throw new acronyms at us on NCLEX when we have NEVER used or heard of them before is NOT RIGHT!!!! I would be interested to hear what you guys have to say. Oh, worlds best kept secret......NCSBN REVIEW--UM, THEY GIVE THE TEST! Maybe their study material that is structured like the exam would be a good tool, just saying!( it is the only thing I used for the second NCLEX)!!!! Looking forward to seeing my official pass results on-line!!!!! DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!
  2. Hi!! Check out the NCSBN site and their review.....I liked it.....and best of luck. I am waiting for my results...took it second time yesterday.
  3. ...Join the club,But you are braver than I am.....I am to freaked out to even do the pop up thing......I did it for LPN and I either did it wrong or something....but I ended up passing. Well, I took my NCLEX for the second time Yesterday 7/29 from 2pm-8pm....no not how long could I have... No NO...I had 2,00000000 questions and it was still going even when 8pm rolled around. I was still answering questions when they were packing up the bathroom keys!!!! (lol) I have no clue what to do!!! I guess I am gonna wait and see. Last time went way too quick and didn't read questions, had wicked migraine and took a break to take advil it was bad...this time I was much better prepared. NCSBN COURSE-- get it for as long as you can....do each section the pretest, the review the quizzes then the tests questions......it would have been nice if someone would have told me about it for the first test!! I have 10 books (I did review, but spend a butt load of money from Lippincott to ATI to SAUNDERS and back), Hurst (I have the book and the audio) and I LOVE HER, she calms me and I love listening to her---I used RONA from YOUTUBE (good study material for review and she failed first time her videos are good)I printed them, but honestly the questions from the NCSBN were really good, the breakdown was same as NCLEX....don't know if I passed but.... I did UWORLD too....it was ok just so much to read......I felt like I needed more questions and less rationals! Its $60 and you can split it with friends. I have a tendency to get the hard questions right and miss the basic stuff that a practicing nurse would know....so it kinda messes with the who adaptive testing concept....but honestly--I never failed and exam at school LPN or RN and I do not think I would kill any one. However, the NCLEX people seem to think we are going to be OB, PEDS or CARDIAC SURGEONS when we pass.....questions are just crazy......... Trying to be positive but all I want to do is eat ice cream and sleep!!!!! Everyone just keeps telling me not to worry....Yeah OK....in Florida you can take it 3 times then you have to do MANDATORY REMEDIATION!!!! So I guess I would have another chance..but man would my pride be burned.....I was only one in my class not to pass.......an honestly I believe humility is good, but seriously!!!!
