I've seen threads discussing this topic so I'm hoping to combine all of the discussions and include everyone.
Who else is applying to June GN/RN internships is the Dallas and Fort Worth area? Where have you applied and what feedback have you received? Does anyone who applied to previously posted internships and got accepted or rejected have any advice for us?
Personally I'm a BSN Dec 2010 grad with a new TX RN license and I've applied to any openings I could find in the ED and women & infant services as well as a few random telemetry and critical care spots. I have had 1 phone interview and I have a phone interview and in-person interview scheduled for next week. Im keeping my fingers crossed that something will go well!!!

I applied for L&D (already got a rejection email about that one), both the NICU spots (I know is closed), and med surg. I think thats the only ones I applied to that I can remember.
I think the NICU in FT. Worth is still open and if you look on indeed.com they have a ER intern at HEB. They took all the postings down because they had alot of apps. What does your app status say for med/surg and NICU?
twnurse_2010 - Which specialty were you discussing when the recruiter told you they haven't started interviewing? I spoke to the ED recruiter yesterday and she said they have filled most of their openings already (including everything at Dallas). I was told OB is "behind" so thats good news for us!
I was talking about L&D, NICU and MICU. I know ED is full in Dallas that same recruiter you spoke with told me MICU has not started interviewing and the OB recruiter said the same. Ive been in touch with them by phone and email.
I did the stupid thing of not making a profile until after I applied to my jobs so I can't see the status of my applications I emailed one of the recruiters yesterday but haven't gotten a response yet
Does anyone know what it means when they keep updating your application on Baylor's website?? One of the positions I applied was updated today but not sure if that's a good thing or not
Princess_WannaBe - What exactly is Baylor updating? The application info or something for you personally? I've emailed several recruiters and never received a response within 2 weeks so don't stress if you don't hear from them soon. Parkland just posted their L&D residency btw:)
twnurse_2010 - My interview went really well, thanks for asking. I think the phone interviews went well but its a little hard to tell, I really prefer the face to face ones. I was contacted today and scheduled an interview for a HCA facility so I'm excited for that. I haven't heard anything from any of the managers that my application has been forwarded to - in any company - I really hope to start hearing from them in the next few weeks. I think April is when a lot of places do their interviews.
When u log in and look at the applications u submitted. I hadn't changed anything so I didn't understand what updated was about. I applied to the labor and delivery and nicu :). Nicu for parkland would be my first choice :)
