How long does it take to know or get my NCLEX exam result from California BON? Its been 8 days now and I dont know my result , a friend of mine knew her result just after 3 days, she saw her name at the site of board of nursing where she applied for her exam. I checked for my name also in California BON but I dont see my name, does it mean I FAILED? The waiting and uncertainty is slowly killing me.

I don't know about cal but here is a little trick I learned. Do you remember your last question?
If you do, Did you get it right?
If you got it right then you passed. If you got it wrong then you failed.
They are not going to fail you after you had just answered a question correct. If you could have gotten the answer right and still failed then the computer would not even have given you the question.
Same thing with if you got it wrong. They are not going to pass you after you had just failed a question.
You either pass or fail when you reach a certain percentage. So it all depends on what you did in your last question to push you over the edge one way or the other.
hope this helps

Sorry, but getting the last question right or wrong will not influence the outcome of the exam, nor does the number of questions.
That is not how the exam was even designed. Please check your sources for where you are getting this information. They are 100% incorrect.
First, do you know for sure that the BRN has a complete file for you? That they received your transctipts in a timely fashion?
The average wait in CA is about ten days or so, every so often you see someone that has gotten results in three days, but that is definitely not the norm. And it can take even up to one month. Also, if you do not have a SSN#, then you will not see your results on the BRN, but will need to wait about one month to get your results in the mail.

I am in the same boat. I took it in california and it has taken me over 10 days so far. I have checked every day and I haven't seen it. I took the exam on march 1st, and I took it I didn't pass. I am anxiously waiting as well! Good luck...

Me too...it's been 12 days for me and no results yet. I think another girl on here recently waited 14 days for her passing mark. Let us know when you get your good news!
I still dont know the result, I just pray and pray now rather than agonized, for the exam was finished and what done is done. I just hope tha someday CA BON will find ways to post or mail their result early and that they should also participate in quick result.
Do you in fact have a SSN#? If you do, then you will see your results faster, if you do not, then the wait is about one month or so. CA does not issue the RN license without a SSN#.
With one, the wait is anywhere from three days to a month.
Also remember, that CA is about the only state that will let a nurse take the exam before they have a completed file on them. None of the other states will.

My sis-in-law doesn't have a SS#, took the NCLEX in Guam just this month. She got the result in 3 days coz her sis in Texas paid for the quick result(don't know if it's the right term). Maybe the CA BRN have this kind of service.

My friends and I who took the exams in the dec. - feb. period got it in 3 weeks (nothing more than that, so far...)
Unfortunately, CA doesn't participate in the quick results.
So far, from the dec. - feb. period, it takes 3 weeks for the mail to reach our homes; although from the date of the letter itself they usu. send it after 2 weeks. There's about 1 week backlog before it gets to our houses. Phil. post office is usu. the culprit.

Honestly, we can all sit here and guess, but it is just that - a guess.
Myself and two of my classmates took the exam in CA on March 1. On March 3, my license and one of my friend's were posted. My other classmate's license number was not posted until March 9. I don't know the full story - her transcripts may not have made it to the BON yet, etc.
I just wanted you to know that it doesn't mean you failed, you just have to keep checking the website and make sure all your paperwork and offical transcripts have been sent.
