DePaul MENP Fall 2016

Published

Hi Everyone!

Is there anyone who has been accepted for the the Fall 2016 cohort or heard back from admissions? Which campus? How did you hear if you got accepted? Deadline was January 15th, I know it's a little too soon to hear back but you never know! :)

What a bummer; hopefully your news from UIC is better!

@brobinson, i'm so sorry.. may I ask when you applied for the program?

I applied well before the deadline but my application wasn't finished until a few days before the deadline because of recommendations.

@brobinson, do you mind sharing your credentials? You don't have to but I was curious as to how competitive this program was.

So sorry to hear brobinson...that sucks....I better check my mail box! Did you satisfy all of their requirements?

I did satisfy all the requirements. I did have to take the GRE and I could've done better on it. I still have an acceptance to one program and a pending UIC interview. I just wanted to stay in Chicago to be around family. It's probably a blessing to not be at DePaul as I may have more distractions with the city

anyone hopeful that another round of decisions will be sent sometime this week!?

I just found out I was missing some documents from my application. They notified me I was missing GRE, which I don't since my GPA was higher then needed. Then, they said I needed official transcripts, which I submitted with NursingCAS, and they have been received. So, basically, since they are far in making decisions already, they probably will not accept me for Fall 2016!!! So angry, this is ridiculous!

vpet, that is ridiculous! did they notify you that through an email? what was your GPA if you don't mind me asking? i though the requirement was under a 3.2 was the cutoff?

oh wow! that's a huge bummer! Check with any other schools you applied to with Nursing CAS as well and make sure they received everything. Did you call them to find this all out?

VPET: I would check your original email that stated that the application was received and that it was forwarded to the admissions committee for review. When I got that email, it stated that my GRE was waived due to my GPA being above the requirement. Did they send you an email about this or how did they contact you? I am sorry that they did that. I keep records of all my emails just in case.

I am confused because Nursing CAS definitely has all official transcripts on file.

Yep, my GPA was 3.31, which waives GRE. And how can they possibly receive a verified NursingCAS application thinking official transcripts are not in there? When i called and talked to them they found them. Like 'oh, here they are'....man, I better get accepted at Rush! ;)
