DePaul MENP Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi Everyone!

Is there anyone who has been accepted for the the Fall 2016 cohort or heard back from admissions? Which campus? How did you hear if you got accepted? Deadline was January 15th, I know it's a little too soon to hear back but you never know! :)

To those who got accepted into the program can you please state your GPA, prereq grades and if you had any background in health care? If so, what were they?

Hey, I know this is a SUPER late post on this thread but I hope this info can help future applicants!

I applied about 2 weeks before the deadline. I was still completing my undergraduate degree (in Spanish), and I had finished all pre-requisite courses for DePaul by the time I applied. I got a B in Organic Chemistry, an A in Anatomy, a B+ in Physiology, a B in General Chemistry, My cumulative GPA was 3.33. The healthcare experience I had was going on 3 medical brigades to Panama and shadowing doctors/dentists as well as providing basic health assessments like BP/glucose/etc. I also worked at a few health fairs in the U.S. but had never formally shadowed anyone or anything like that. I was admitted to Lincoln Park campus on February 9 like a lot of the people earlier on in the thread.

ALSO if you're in the Lincoln Park Fall 2016 cohort, join our Facebook group (DePaul MENP Fall 2016 - LP)! A lot of us are completing the CastleBranch requirements and all that jazz and helping each other out with questions and stuff.

Hi All!

I'm in the process of applying for next year's Fall 2017 program. I'm starting to get really worried about the likelihood of getting accepted and I was just wondering if ya'll had any insight for me :)

My undergrad gpa: 3.01 - I got my BS in Communications

GRE score: 150 verbal 149 quantitative and 4 on writing

Pre-reqs: Gen. Chem. 1 = B Lab = A

Gen. Chem. 2 = C Lab = B (not sure which one they'll look at)

Anatomy Physiology 1 + Lab = A

Anatomy Physiology 2 + Lab = taking it right now, but will be finishing with a B

Orgo 1 + Lab = taking it right now as well, but will finish with a B

I have two letters of recommendation, one from a former professor and one from the faculty advisor of the peer education group I was a part of.

Not that you all know me, but would you say everything I listed makes me a good candidate for the program?
