Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:
Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the
Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.
BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.
Hello guys did you try to call CABON to endorse your papers to BVNPT? Thats all i did when i applied my LVN.They forward my papers and i only had to apply my personal application
That may have been true if you did this a year or two ago before the enforcement of the 1987 concurrency rules going into effect around Nov. 2011?
With the several thousand (4-5K) of PH grads and nurses unable to get passed the concurrency rule from the CA BRN, many have shifted to applying for the LVN route and probably caused the massive backlog of reviewing the international applicants and others have been experiencing the 7-8-9 months to get their ATT for the NCLEX-PN.
Please do note that the BVNPT (the LVN approving agency in CA) does HAVE the same concurrency regulation as the CA BRN but they are not enforcing it at this time but can turn on the switch today, tomorrow or in the near future. It's clearly stated on their website.
How's everyone? It's been a while since I last posted here. I feel your anxiety fellow nurses, since that was the same feeling that I felt when I was still waiting to get my eligibility last year. Two of my friends who applied last year for LVN license, took 1 year for them to get their eligibility. So as what I've been reading that there are people who are still waiting even after 8, 9 or 10 months have passed. Just think positive. I know you guys know that good things come to those who wait. Just keep your patience longer guys! :)
