With burnout, stress, and fatigue wreaking havoc on all Healthcare providers, especially nurses, when will we be able to consume products that are legal for the general public but could destroy a nurse's entire career simply because of random urine drug testing? Just because you might fail a urine drug test for THC does not indicate that you were under the influence at work. You could have just been enjoying a decompressing weekend and then get hit with a random drug test 5 days afterwards and be facing a license revocation because of what you do in your off time. What are some thoughts about this?

However, there is some speculation that that the two Mary Janes were genetically related.
Mary Jane has been cavorting with musicians for a long time. It's rumored that she's a powerful witch.

"popping a gummy to calm down" sounds so dystopian and Farenheit 451. Won't a glass of wine or beer help you start the process to "calm yourself down"? Laying on the floor and concentrating on you breathing probably works better than anything out there, but I know that there is a learning curve how to do this - so I'd take the glass of wine first or a cup of hot chocolate if I couldn't drink:)

I don't see your point. I'm not writing and English paper here, so how about "ingesting a THC laced edible chewy fruit gum candy". Otherwise you make no sense to me.

The point was needing a drug rather than other means, not grammer or syntax. Didn't the characters in Farenheit 451 use drugs to stay calm? In Aldous Huxley's world everyone used Soma. Neither one was a pleasant world to live in.

Gotcha. I didn't and still don't get the literary references as I haven't read those authors. I'm a reader, but not of classic literature.
I do think our society is pretty chemically dependent. Heck, even I rely on Trazodone for insomnia and coffee because of insomnia. Pharmaceuticals both legal and illegal are probably a trillion dollar business.

Another Trazadone user here. But if 9/11 had never happened, I probably would never have heard of it. How many cups of cappuccino have I made in the morning without any coffee in the filter? Completely non-functional without it. BUT, I could still pass the drug test I had to take as a court worker:)

At the end of the day, what's the difference between a gummy, a glass of wine, or a beer?
Nothing.
They're all chemicals used to calm someone down. As long as they're used responsibly, I see absolutely no reason to judge a user of thc/cbd any different than you would someone who drinks alcohol.

You offered up another drug instead...alcohol...which, although socially acceptable is associated with steep personal and societal costs.

That was not lost on me. However, if one is drug tested the day after a glass of wine, your job is safe. IMHO, wine is a safer and healthier inebrient. Chocolate can be associated with steep personal and societal costs but that doesn't mean we can't consume it thoughtfully without becoming obese and the societal costs of that. The best thing is just to lie on the floor and try to breathe perfectly evenly. It's very difficult and will help you get to sleep more easily, while a glass of wine can interfere with your sleep. But I didn't mean to preach. My main point was that it is dystopian image of having taking a drug (including alcohol) to unwind when science fiction authors have been predicting this for years.

They are different in terms of a drug test at work. That is the only difference.
