Hi everyone!!
I'm starting a thread for the incoming July 2018 Cohort! I thought it would be nice to get each others experiences with the interviewing process and steps to hiring! My main pick is the Pediatric Emergency Department.
Also, I was invited to the Open house next week on Feb. 23 and will be flying in to attend that. Is anyone else attending this?
Really?!! I had asked them as well and one of the ED Reps just told me that the representative for that location just couldn't make it but they'd pass along the resume and stuff..... ?!So frustrating! Thanks for the insight!
Maybe I misunderstood or heard wrong? I thought she said one of the seton hospitals wasn't there and they were passing the resumes along. I guess we'll see which positions open up for what location!
I don't personally know the exact number of spots per location but when I asked at the open house I was told 2 for labor and delivery and 2 for peds ED, 2 ED Hays, and 2 ED round rock location. I do know that they did not post an oncology position but people are getting interviews simply from the open house for that unit. I did receive a call and have a scheduled interview for the ED Hays location.
Has anyone received a call? I have been out of the country and don't have service so I don't want to miss anything
Not yet, but all my applications online (Peds ED, PICU, NICU, Peds Intermediate care) all still say "submitted" I think SOME adult hospitals have called people, but i'm not 100% on that.
Has anyone received a call/email regarding interviews? I've applied for a couple positions and haven't heard back for anyone.
No not yet. When I check online at the submission status it still doesn't say anything. I know the recruiter did say it takes them kind of a long time to get back. Looking back on past posts it seems they start calling at the very end of March, but usually early to mid-April!

I'm out of state too and since they are all one big name with many hospitals it makes things confusing. I remember seeing an "Emergency Services" table at the event, but I stuck with Peds since i'm not going into adults
