Anyone applying to Delaware County Community College's Fall 2012 Nursing Program? I am and I am also scheduled to take the TEAS in a few weeks. What did you think of the TEAS exam? I took the prep class and found it somewhat helpful in terms of focusing my studying. Anyone have to take the TEAS more than once to get the score they wanted? Share your scores if you don't mind and If you reading this and you are already in the program what scores did you get on the TEAS and how do you like the program so far?

yes, go ATItesting.com you can purchse the book on there or at least get all the info on the book and try to get it cheaper I believe if you buy it from that site you get two free practice timed tests you can take on ur comp. If you dont buy it on the site you can buy the two practice tests for 37 bux they help alot because they are like exact to the layout of the real test ...there are a million house in ridley for sale and rent

Oh thanks!!! Ok will do. That makes me feel better! haha

Good to know! I'm going to go look it up now and see what's there. Thanks

I am looking foward to applying for the 2012 Nursing program (nights and wekkends) at DCCC. I took the TEAS for the first time and I am not very happy with my scores, good think I will have time to take it once more before submitting my application. That means 6 more weeks of studying :)

I graduated DCCC back in 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and am enrolled now in the last two Psychology classes needed and have both A&P's to do then it will be all NUS classes from there (if I get in).

Took the TEAS V tonight at the Marple campus, and got an 87. I think that's probably high enough to get into the day program at Marple, right? I really don't want to spend another $40 to retake it, lol! The test was really hard because it was so random.

Anyone want my study guide? I wrote in it, but if you can look past my scribblings, it would be a helpful (free!) study tool :)

That's awesome I took mine yesterday an received a 66.7, But that was without studying at all, It would be great if I could use your study guide, please email me at [email protected],

Thanks :)

Was talking today with a few of the first-year nursing students (they're in my A+P class) and they both got in the 70's on the TEAS. Said that most of the 2011 cohort were in the low-mid 70's. So, I think as long as you're close to that, you should be good :)

Hi, I was wondering if your two classmates are in the day or evening program nursing program? I applied for the 2012 evening/weekend nursing program at DCCC and my score is hovering in that area. Thanks!

they're both in the day program at marple. I've got no idea on the evening program scores, but I'd bet the average is higher than the day since the cohort is so much smaller.

Here's hoping an 82 is sufficient for the evening program. In what was probably a foolish decision, I selected "Evening Only." I've questioned that several times since I handed in my petition. And since I just started a new job I can't afford to take time off to take another round of TEAS.

The good news is I've been accepted to Neumann's program for next year already so I have a back-up. It's not my first choice (I never thought I'd prefer community college over a good private school, but there it is) but it's a relief knowing that even if I shot myself in the foot with selecting Evening Program, I'm not completely screwed.

Thanks for your quick reply! I selected that I would take day if the evening was not an option for me, which I am assuming it is not with a 70.

I'm applying to Neuman as well. I know what you mean when you say, preferring a community college over a four year university sounds crazy, but when you look at tuition costs, it makes more sense to get your RN from Community and then do a bridge program. Good luck to you.. 82 is a pretty good score! The overall average for the Teas is somewhere I believe in the 60-65 range.

I just took the TEAS for a second time, about a week ago and actually scored better my first time than my second. Anyone who is petitioning for the 2012 nursing program, what were your scores like?

I am new to this, as I studied at Neumann last year, in their nursing program. I had to come to DCCC because at Neumann in order to stay in the nursing program, you must earn 40 points between all of your sciences, the first time taking them (which is usually a miscommunication, as it was for me). During the summer I took Physiology and in order to get those 40 points, I needed to get an 87 in the class, and I received an 86. Therefore I could not continue with the nursing program. I am hoping that my scores are high enough to earn a spot in the Chester County day program.
