De Anza College Nursing 2018

I recently applied to the nursing program during the November to January period and haven't heard anything back yet. Has anyone gotten any news?[h=1][/h]

The average wait time is like a year I think. For me I'll probably get in Spring of 2019 so it will be 1 year and 3 months since I waited

Hello, I hear some disturbing news that De Anza nursing program will be closed.. Have you heard anything? I have just finished my pre-reqs, thought to apply, and now I am at a loss.. Thank you.

There were some things going around and a slide deck that you can find online saying that it's in danger, but it appears they are still taking applicants and continuing for at least Winter 2019.

Can you post a link of the slide or tell me how to get to it, please? I tried googling but nothing is coming up about De Anza shutting down the nursing program. What exactly has been "going around"? Thanks so much.

The document is old though. The instructors that they had listed as retiring have all been replaced. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) is now the nursing dean. I'm in the group starting for Winter 2019, so I know it's still open for now.

I wrote to the nursing department. They have not answered yet. I see this article is old, from summer. I wish somebody would tell something. Please post here if you hear anything.

Hello, I just wanted to give you an update. The nursing department assured me that the De Anza nursing remains fully open and taking new students. Yay! Now need to take HESI exam.

For Fall 2019, has anyone received acceptance emails? She said they would go out today and no later than the 19th by mail but also know how the dates change sometimes. I'm pretty sure I'll be selected based off the current waitlist online but idk really.
