I recently applied to the nursing program during the November to January period and haven't heard anything back yet. Has anyone gotten any news?[h=1][/h]

I just got my invitational email for the fall 2018 class. She said she will update the waiting list soon. Just be patient I guess. She still doesn't know how to update the waiting list. Good luck to you guys! í ½í¸ƒ. I was wait list 155 on the old waiting list btw so you can track where your at on the list.

Congratulations!! I'm 171, so hopefully I'll get in next quarter. :) if you save your books, I'll totally buy them off of you if I start in January.

I just checked the website and the waiting list is still not updated. I did receive a letter in the mail, late May, letting me know of my Wait List ID & position #. I am number 218, so I am estimating my start date as Fall 2019 or Winter 2020 (applied in the Nov 2017-Jan 2018 period). I emailed Deborah inquiring about immunizations and she stated "Please do not proceed with Health Clearance until you have been notified that you have an actual start date of the program". Hopefully, they start to update us by fall!

@Bcasiano Do they tell you what number you were out of the 20 students they picked? I want to see where they left off to pick for the next quarter. Thanks!

No they did not tell me. Also Even if your an alternate they don't reveal to you what number you are on the alternate list either.

To Prospective Nursing Students,

In the hope of maintaining closer currency with prerequisite courses and subsequent success within the Nursing Program, the DeAnza College Nursing Faculty has decided to change the "Deferment Policy."

First: This means that you must submit a Readiness Form every Quarter in order to remain on the Waiting List. People who do not submit a Readiness Form will be removed from the Wait List.

Second: Selected students will only be allowed to defer entry into our program once. If a student does not enter the following Quarter, their name will be removed from the Wait List.

Reminder: Once in the program, students must complete the program within nine Quarters of their original start date (excluding Summer Quarters).

Please understand that these rules are meant to make you more successful once you enter our program.
