  1. Was there any diseases on the hesi? I'm taking it in a week and scared. Any more useful tips?
  2. wait what? Is this news confirmed by the nursing department?
  3. The average wait time is like a year I think. For me I'll probably get in Spring of 2019 so it will be 1 year and 3 months since I waited
  4. Thank you Brenda, I probably have to email Deborah to see if I'm on the email list since I didn't get it.
  5. I didn't get any email though
  6. Yea I applied in the Nov-Jan period also and I think that I will start around Spring of 2019 because it seems like there are more people applying lately. Also did you start on your immunizations yet? or do wait till you get a letter telling you that you will be starting the program soon before you start on them?
  7. I don't think you can, the next application period is in September
  8. Guys Catherine just responded to me and told me to talk to Deborah again........ I'm gonna lose all my brain cells at this rate
  9. I don't think that there are that many people from the military or other prioritized sources that apply to the nursing program every quarter. Honestly, I think we might all start later than expected if things continue as they are.
  10. I just emailed her right now, she will probably respond on Monday. I will update you guys on what she says. This has been a very frustrating experience hopefully it will get better.
  11. I called the person in charge of the applications in early March and she told me that we would get our letter at the end of March but now it's almost the deadline for Spring applications and she still hasn't finished with winter applications...... smh
  12. They do not look at highschool GPA. Process is: you take your pre reqs at a community college or at a university which takes around 2 years then you apply to nursing school. You will then need to take the Hesi or Teas usually which is like an entrance exam also some schools will require essay questions. I had a 2.1 GPA in highschool and just went to a community college to do my pre reqs and now 3 years later I got accepted into a nursing program. You can do it, goodluck!
  13. The sjsu nursing program is super impacted. There is De Anza college that has an ADN program which is located in Cupertino. It does not a lottery style system instead it has a waitlist system, the average wait time to get in once your accepted is 3-4 quarters. Also since your worried about getting in, you don't have to worry about it for this program as long as you meet the requirements you can get in.
  14. I used the pocket prep app for vocab, it's the purple one in the app store which is around $15. I also used quizlet to help me
  15. I recently applied to the nursing program during the November to January period and haven't heard anything back yet. Has anyone gotten any news?[h=1][/h]
