DCCC- Fall 2008

anyone here currently taking classes at Delaware County Community College in PA and looking to apply for Fall 2008 entry into nursing? I am wondering if anyone knows how competitive the program is. I start my non-nursing classes at the Summer I session, and should be done all of them by the time Fall 2008 would start.

You have to do great on the NET test and you have to see if they are at waiting list stage and how long it is. They say it is a great program but I know they take the top on the NET tests.

Seems like a ton of requirements to get started that why I never applied.

jrwoodall79 - DCCC is currently holding info sessions. Go to their website and find out when the next one is. I know they are accepting applications into the program for 2008 starting in Aug 2007. Top NET scores get seats. You can start getting all of the Admissions requirements done over the summer and be ready to go... NET test/College registration/background checks/etc. I believe they accepted about 2/3 rd's of the applicants this past year. It's good that you are getting your prereq's out of the way...it will make your life easier.:rolleyes:

i am sure you got in!! i could not believe my eyes when the letter came. I think they just closed the petitioning period on 10/26. It only took a week for them to decide. I think I have re-read it about 100 times just to make sure I was reading it right!! I think I am still in denial! So much for waiting until January.

well i just emailed the school today because i couldnt figure out why i wasnt getting my letter! she said that they have only sent out letters for the delaware county portion, not chester county yet. she said to wait a few more weeks! ugh!
