DCCC- Fall 2008

Published

anyone here currently taking classes at Delaware County Community College in PA and looking to apply for Fall 2008 entry into nursing? I am wondering if anyone knows how competitive the program is. I start my non-nursing classes at the Summer I session, and should be done all of them by the time Fall 2008 would start.

xoyw01--Congratulations!!!:monkeydance:were you accepted to the Delaware county or chester county program??

Tichi - I'm in the Chester County program, sounds like you're in DC. I am sooo excited for the meeting in the spring to learn more details about the program - see you there!

Are you taking any classes this spring or summer?

Hey Guys,

I got in the Chester County Program too....I am really excited. I am done with all of my pre reqs except the second part of A&P which I have in the spring. I wonder when the spring meeting is....are you guys in days or nights?

Hopefully we'll hear about the meeting soon. I'm in the day program. I am taking 1 credit Math for nurses and also Med terminology in the spring. I'll take A&P over the summer.

I am waiting to see if I can test out of the 1 credit Math course. I did A&P 1 on line at HACC and taking part 2 starting this week. You have to go to Harrisburg once a week for the lab but it transfers if anyone is interested.....

im in nights at chester county... i still havent gotten my letter that says when the meeting is. i am so excited though!

hey-- I just got my letter today about orientation. First we have to go in on March 3rd and have a meeting with a career adviser who will help people schedule their classes. I will already have all of my pre-reqs done before nursing starts, but I guess they want to make sure that everyone is on the right track. They say to allot 3 hours for this meeting. Then the actual orientation is April 18th. It says the orientation is about 3 hours also. I am so excited, I can't wait to find out more information.

I just got my letter too. I have the initial orientation on March 5th, maybe they are splitting Chesco/Delco or day/night? I am really excited for 4/18 when we get the real sccop about what's coming. Woohoo!

ok, i got mine, too. mine is also march 5th and i am in the chester county night program. i am really looking forward to the one in april, though. its so exciting!!!!!

as an aside, is anyone here taking physiology right now? i am and it is KICKING MY BUTT!!!

Hi there,

I know you posted here a while ago, but I was wondering if I could ask you a question since you were accepted for this year's program. Would you mind sharing your NET scores? I took it today and did really well on the Math but JUST squeaked by on the Reading Comp. I got a composite score of 82, but wonder if that is going to be high enough to get me into next year's program.

Thanks in advance!

ecf 1972 - Clearly this is an old post from you, but I am applying to the 2010 program. I got an 84% composite score on my NET, so I was wondering if you got in?

Also, if anyone else applied last year, or this year, what are your NET scores? This waiting game just kills me!

Hi there,

I did not get into the 2009 program with the composite of 82. The last letter I got in May said I was number 11 on the waiting list. That being said, I sat for the NET for admission for 2010 and got a composite of 91. Unfortunately, it really is hard to say what score will get you in. It all depends on who applies and how well they do on the NET. I wish you the best of luck. It truly is nerve wracking waiting to hear whether or not you got accepted.

Let me know when you get your letter!
