It will be a total of about 13 days between when I received my ATT and take my NCLEX. When I graduated school in mid december I took sometime off until after the new year. I was a great student in school and graduated with high honors. (I know that doesnt mean I will pass NCLEX just giving some background). About a week or so after that I started doing some questions here and there and reviewing mildly. Once I got my ATT I started studying a ton!! About 8-9 hours a day and I am still going. I have been doing hurst and reviewed the med surg content twice. I have yet to do the specialty videos because I feel like I start to lose sight of how to answer NCLEX types questions the more I am not doing them. I figure that if I am practicing questions then I am also reviewing content at the same time and killing 2 birds with one stone kind of right?? I guess I wanted everyones thoughts on whether I should watch these videos or keep doing questions at this point! I am SO scared and would love some tips or some words of encouragement that I am in the right direction (somewhat at least). I am doing kaplan q bank questions, the q review questions with hurst, ATI questions and NCLEX mastery questions... about 150 questions a day. ANY tips??!!!
I posted this on the board but wanted to ask here also... Would it be horrible if I stopped studying now?? I honestly dont think I can do anymore or am retaining anything... I was trying to do questions but it was getting me more overwhelmed and had me feeling like I have to study everything all over again or re look at everything.... I also have barely studied pharm!! I am feeling like I am doomed for this test... ugh.
I feel you! But stay positive! I'm feeling sort of burned out as well, but I'm keeping my head up! You've got this.
dlonzano1288 I had 75 questions I did the PVT and got the good pop up (at least I think it is the good one) I did it in just under 3 hours. I was so scared and nervous but felt it was doable. I am so overwhelmed and exhausted these last few weeks of worrying have taken so much out of me!! Did you do the PVT?? How long did it take you to finish?? Every time there was a break I literally jumped and was like OMG they know I failed ALREADY!! haha
Hurst definitely helped me. It gave me a good foundation and focused on the important content to know for NCLEX. Kaplan q bank questions are harder then nclex which I guess helps because then you go into the test and the questions aren't as bad as you thought they would be... Keep doing questions and you will do great!

That's awesome JLB!! Did you finally get the official results?! I'm so excited for you! This is my last weekend before my exam. SO STOKED and SCARED at the same time! Haha
hit the safety and diseases, especially for heart/gastro... just do lab values day before test,,,a fresh mind will be better than trying to learn something new at that point. They will take your photo that morning by the way,,so dont look like you just come from the jailhouse.
get there early, i'd go find the place and actually see the front door, those little test centers are sometimes hidden in with other offices and they don't have large signs.
