It will be a total of about 13 days between when I received my ATT and take my NCLEX. When I graduated school in mid december I took sometime off until after the new year. I was a great student in school and graduated with high honors. (I know that doesnt mean I will pass NCLEX just giving some background). About a week or so after that I started doing some questions here and there and reviewing mildly. Once I got my ATT I started studying a ton!! About 8-9 hours a day and I am still going. I have been doing hurst and reviewed the med surg content twice. I have yet to do the specialty videos because I feel like I start to lose sight of how to answer NCLEX types questions the more I am not doing them. I figure that if I am practicing questions then I am also reviewing content at the same time and killing 2 birds with one stone kind of right?? I guess I wanted everyones thoughts on whether I should watch these videos or keep doing questions at this point! I am SO scared and would love some tips or some words of encouragement that I am in the right direction (somewhat at least). I am doing kaplan q bank questions, the q review questions with hurst, ATI questions and NCLEX mastery questions... about 150 questions a day. ANY tips??!!!

Props to you! :) I think you're on the right track! I'm almost in the same boat as you except I test on Feb 27th, so I've got a couple more days left. I too am using Hurst for content and the Kaplan QBank and QTrainers for questions (answering about 150 a day). I'm almost done with the QBank - about 300 q's left to answer. I also recently installed the NCLEX Mastery App and been doing questions on there while I'm on the go. I love that app!
I think at this point, you should continue to keep pushing and on the day before your exam, do a light review, relax, and give your brain a break.
Please keep me posted with your results!
P.S.- How do you like the Hurst Online Review? Also, did you get a chance to read over the 5th day resource materials as well? I've watched all the videos including the specialty area videos (since OB and PEDS are my weakest areas). Before I answer practice questions for the day, I make sure to read over the Hurst worksheets as well, to make sure I solidify my content before heading into the most important exam of my life. Hopefully what I'm doing works out.
Thank you CSUL_RN_GRAD!! Sounds like you are on the right track as well!!! To be honest I really like hurst because it explains things throughly but I find myself getting board with the videos and need to be able to test my knowledge so I end up going to questions. Also, the hurst q review questions are great but I dont know how they relate to nclex style and I think they are a little too much geared towards the things they emphasize in their own material (if that makes sense). That is why I am trying to get a variety of questions. I just dont feel like I studied enough... ugh. I wasnt one of those who studied for 2 months before the nclex. So scared
I think being scared for the NCLEX is typical! I'm scared too, but the thing that brings me some comfort is that it's not the end of the world if things don't turn out so well. I can always retake, but of course, that's something I don't want to do. But hey, if it comes down to it, so be it. I passed nursing school and so did you! We can both do this! Let's stay positive!
Ever since I started studying, I wrote this on my bulletin board, "I will pass the NCLEX!" and it's literally the first thing I see when I wake up and before I go to bed. I pray too- and that brings me the greatest comfort of all!
Bottom line is this - You're doing the best you can with the time you have to prepare for this exam! And everything else, is beyond your control. Stay positive, stay focused, and BREATHE!
We've got this in the bag. We will be RNs (Real Nurses) soon!

Suggestion: use quizlet with the user: ammyntran ! You can test you knowledge on what you retained with hurst!! Idk but this helped me see if I actually retained what Hurst said!! I just reviewed the notecards after I went through all that Hurst material! I also suggest you to look through those extra hurst resources! Happy Studying! ðŸ˜
Awesome! I'm going to try that out. Did you take your NCLEX already? And do you have any tips on memorizing all those drugs? That's my weakest area.
Also, I just went on Quizlet and I can't seem to find any sets made by that username. Any chance you can send me the link? Thanks!

I take it at 12:30. & Yes! If it weren't for the fact that I'm supposed to start my new job on the 23rd I would have totally r/s. LOL!
omg dlozano88!!! ME TOO!! I am supposed to start a new job march 2nd and I think this is why the stakes are so much higher!!! I am FREAKING out but I really have no way around it because I am going away from the 18th-25th so cant really postpone taking them unless I take them when I get back but that wouldnt make sense because ill be in vacation mode lol.
