It's crazy to think about. I still have to take my last two finals for my last prerequisites tomorrow, lol! I think once I do that it will really set in... in six days, next Monday, I will be a nursing student. 16 months from that, if everything goes right, I will have a BSN and be an RN!
Is anyone else starting a nursing program this summer? It seems like most people start in the fall, except for some accelerated programs like mine. How much longer do you have to wait for your school to start?
My first week was long as well. We've already had two tests, 10 quizzes, and covered at least 15 chapters! We learned to give injections and some of us are assigned to an immunization clinic this thursday. I had a quiz yesterday, anoother one today, I've another test tomorrow and Tuesday, and a quiz friday. Holy moly it's been busy! BUT- it's a lot of fun already and we haven't eve started clinicals. Can't wait to see how those go- we start them in July.
Oh and I'm taking 2 Intro-type courses (nursing perspectives and intro to research in nursing) and then one hard core class (pharmacology). The frst two are only 4 weeks long and end in the beginning of june, when we start our fundamentals of nursing class. Pharm goes all summer.
So, here we go!
