1. A sense of humor is vital for everyone"s survival.

2. I can go an entire shift without emptying my bladder, but only for an hour or two on a road trip.

3. Medical people are the least compliant patients.

4. Hearing what a patient is saying is not the same as listening to them talk.

1. Even if you think you've seen it all, you haven't. There is a patient waiting to prove you wrong.

2. A good tech/nursing assistant is worth their weight in gold.

3. What we do matters, even on days when it feels like it doesn't.

4. Sometimes broken bodies are easier to fix than broken spirits.

1. Being a good listener is more important than most things you will say to your patients.

2. You need to be flexible and adapt to the current situation.

3. Always be humble and kind. Treat others as you expect to be treated. This means patient and coworkers.

4. There is always something new to learn. Keep the excitement of something new in your profession.

5. Always maintain a professional nurse/patient relationship.

1.) Be creative and innovative (putting a urostomy bag over an incontinent patient's retracted member who pees all the time when Texas cath and Foley failed ✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻)

1) So many patients....not enough patience

2) You're never too old to learn something new

1. Not everyone will understand a nurse's sense of humor.

2. It's always a good time for breakfast when you work night shift.

3. No matter how much you've slept during the day, you'll hit a wall at 3am. Sometimes that wall hits back with an admission or two at just the right time.

4. You never know what you'll find in the washing machine after a load of scrubs.

5. We have the most challenging and rewarding job imaginable.
