Davita is doing what?!?

10,000 bucks to the staffer who refers an experienced dialysis nurse who gets hired on. yes, 10 grand. 5,000 for someone with no experience (i think), 1,500 for a PCT, and so on.

so, the nurse gets a sign-on bonus, and so does the lucky dog who referred them. yikes! i wish I knew some never-been-to-Davita nurses.

10,000 dollars!!!!

I just think its very unprofessional to recruit on the job.

Specializes in Dialysis (acute & chronic).

When I worked for Davita, I had referred 2 different RN's for employment and was told that I would get a referral bonus for each one, however, I never got a cent!

Good luck trying to get your $$$. Read the fine print. This happened 5 years ago.

don't see any hint of insanity and rudeness. might seem unprofessional. but wouldn't mind being called with a better offer.

by the way, i was promised a bonus of 5K. never got it. Remember "Employer of choice".

Specializes in Telemetry/Hemodialysis.

The davita unit i just left in downtown LA is offering a :eek:5k sign-on bonus. Trust me, it's not worth a 50k sign-on. This place is crazy! I feared for my license daily. Thank God I made out of there alive... Literally!

Yup it's crazy. You know why? because I know two people who referred someoen to davita 6-7 months ago...they have YET to see the bonus. Don't help davita get more staff....they're a bunch of liar.s

Davita was named as one of the best companies for education'/training programs however, it is apparent that there are many problems. When nurses voice concerns and state that which you all have stated on this site, it is scarey. Davita should be more focused on what happens in their units to their patients. Don't corporate level people have an ethical and moral obligation to provide safe care? I guess NOT....RenalRuth:nurse:

p.s. dialysisguy - I am familiar with some of the facilities in LA and the type of care that is given.
