That's funny (not really) and I thought it was just me. It's been three months since I was "rehired" with no start date. At first I thought it was the new FA, but after the home office called me three times about an exit interview and promised follow up, I'd have to say it goes up the chain of command a little higher. Not very professional. In twenty years of nursing, I have never had anything like this happen. I thought I was close with the acting FA, apparently not.
Good luck with your position. Like I mentioned in another thread, I did enjoy working (training) with Davita and the employees and patients I got acquainted with.
I was (re)hired Oct. 30th. I was asked if I could start back right away. That's why I brought in a release from MD after surgery and I had just left a position with them for medical reasons. I went for the drug screen again because it had been over three months. I could even understand if someone called to let me know what was going on. Instead I was ignored by new FA and the home office that promised to get back did not either. There may be financial difficulties with a hiring freeze right now, I don't know. I hope that I would be more professional toward someone I wanted to come back to work for me. The trust is gone.
I decided to go back to school to improve skills and give me more options.
There isnt a Hiring freeze on but they did run into financial trouble with thier stocks dropping. Of course as you know with Davita it's primary goal is "too make money and increase profits". They have been enforcing the use of the SWC for staffing and productivity levels resulting in staff being sent home early or told to stay home even though pts loads remain unchanged. I just left a Davita clinic and started in another dialysis company. Best decision I ever made!!!!!

Davita is an AWFUL Company! I recently quit and its the best thing I have ever done. Filed charged against my unit and People services even with a witness said there was not enough evidence. Davita is all talk, they do not care, accept about making Money, that is all. Stay far from Davita!!!!!
Unfortunately health care cost are rising daily and hospitals, specialty clinics and surgery centers all have to think about the bottom line. I do not think DaVita is only about money for profits. Some teammates have received thousands of dollars to help them out when they found out their child had cancer. It's easy to focus on what we don't like about a company in any field. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I've seen some great benefits from DaVita, especially after working for an independent unit with no help or support from the owner. I think a job is what you and your team makes of it. We are always going to have the negative people who seems to add sour apples to the mix.

once you apply for a position online, how long does it take for them to get in touch with you? ...should they decide to?
