  1. Has anybody heard of Distance Learning Systems. I received a flyer in the mail today about an accellerated RN program. I live in Texas. Just wanted to get some feedback. Thanks.... Tammy
  2. Hey Guys, I am in the same boat. I am half way through the program. I had to go through Excelsior because I did not pass the Exit Hesi with a 850 I had a 838 so i could not get my ADN degree going through a traditional school. I will write my representives. Will I not be able to get my RN degree through excelsior if this bill does not pass or take the NCLEX in Texas? Please explain. Madisent
  3. i am an lvn new to hh. i was burnt out from dialysis. i was offered a full time salary job for 43k. weekdays 8-5, no evenings or weekends unless wound care is required. holidays off if pt have been seen earlier that week or another day. 25-30 pt a week. on call every 4 weeks. most calls can be handled over the phone. insurance is offered, cell phone, gas card provided. no 401k no supp. insurance. 2 weeks vacation, 2 sick days and 2 personal days. company is small, travel is not far 10-25 mile radius. you make your own schedule just as long as you see your assigned pts some time that week. i would appreciate any help. thanks...

  11. first of all, you all have been so encouraging to each other and i am so glad to find this website. i am new to excelsior and i have my first test on safety next week. i have been using the free excelsior study guide and i plan to buy the review test and i bought a study guide from ebay. my question is ---is it neccessary to buy the books for any of the test? also, i am trying to plan out what test to take after the safety test. are some tests harder than ohers? i would appreciate your advice? thank you. sincerely, tammy from texas

  13. I am also in the same boat. Passed all nursing classes. But could not pass the HESI exit exam that was required to receive my ADN degree-- needed an 850 made an 838. I am now going through Excelsior.
