Davis Q & A New Format for 2010

Published

Just curious if anyone else is using this and how they're doing??

I'm reviewing with Saunders Comprehensive and then Davis lets me 'itemize' a little better than the Saunders CD to take practice exam questions. I'm doing terrible, so I'm wondering if Davis is a little harder than the others.

hello everybody! i bought this book after reading your comments(i Thank you for that). i can say that questions are really difficult... i started answering the book this morning and i only got 50%... =(

i just installed the cd and im wondering how you guys customize/organize 'em?i wanna make sure that im not gonna miss any questions...

thanks

your reply is highly appreciated!!

i bought the book too.. i am very frustrated! it won't work on mac computers!! i emailed them before i bought the book and they said that if i bought it anywhere--like online store(amazon.com) it will work on my computer. and there's also a note on their site that the mac version of the software cd for davis's q&a by Ohman will be out by JUNE2010. and i did not get it.. i emailed them right away, and the person i emailed will let me know if they will replace the cd software..

I contacted Davis, and their team of technicians will be reviewing the CD for errors. I hope they fix this.

Thank you for making the call for all of us. I do hope they'll fix this ASAP so we can update the software. Lots of errors indeed.

@lilstar, You can customize it by clicking on the 'Customize this exam' button, then mark the categories you want only to randomly show up and putting your desired number of questions to answer.

If you have read our previous posts, you'll notice that the software doesn't have a calculator and there will be lots of errors mostly typo error and wrong information on the question and rationales.

I've used Davi's Q and A along with other review resources. I noticed some errors on the answers and rationales too but didn't focuse on them. I managed to do all the questions by going through every health category so that I didn't get the same questions over and over again. The questions are really challenging compared to the other reviewers I've used. I took my test last Monday and passed with the minimum questions.

I am doing the exact thing as you stated. I am just working around the errors also. I hope this helps.

I don't think I give a big credit to this book for my success in passing the NCLEX because as I've mentioned earlier I've also used other NCLEX reviewers like kaplan online, saunders, exammaster. The main reason I purchased Davi's Q&A was to practice doing more SATA but thank God I didn't I get much SATA on my actual test. I did more or less ten thousand practice questions and rationales. Maybe that was too much but my thinking was the more questions I do, the better the chance for me to pass and I did. God bless.

@ godfather, thanks for the info... im taking the practice test by choosing only the category i would wanna take. usually, it gives me at least 93 items, that way, i wont miss any questions..

yea i noticed some errors on the cd and i hope that they'll fix it asap.

how's everybody doing? the questions are really hard..i wish my score will go up a lil more lol... but yea still studying. i think what important is to not to give up and to really understand whatever review materials were reviewing. im actually not satisfied with my scores but every after practice, i review rationales...

when are you guys taking the test? Goodluck to all of us and congratulations to the new RNs....:nurse:

The questions are hard. I have completed over 1,100 questions so far. I answer 84 to 120 questions a day. I am doing 3,630 in all. I will be retesting the second week of December.

same here tinkerbell... we should post if davis really does helps...

Actually, I will be retesting the third week! Jmnurse08, I pray that I will be able to say this book was a success for me also. Congrats to those who have already passed. Good luck to us who will be testing soon.
