  1. Benefits of being a male nurse No menstruation means no mood swings no offense to women out there but this is true I can turn large patient with little help. No maternity leave. Easy to get along with co worker especially with women :)
  2. Its true nclex is partly about luck because there are some people like me who had taken the NCLEX and it turns out i know all the question that the computer gave me. But your chance is still high if you study hard. Here's my advice. Spiderman pneumonics (infection control precaution), la charity 2010, davis 2010, know your meds like dopamine and the basics computation. Good luck! Last advice if you pass dont celebrate yet, save it when you get a job :) because its freaking hard to find one :)
  3. Nurses in the Philippines are paid so low. Now a days they start by being a volunteer for 6 months and then when you are hired you are paid around 5000-10000 pesos which is around $100-200. If you have years of experience like seniors who are experienced with icu/or/etc any specialty around 10000-20000 which is $200-400. By reading this you will get the reason why. Also in the Philippines we dont have our own CNA so nurses there do everything. I'm a Filipino but I cant blame you for asking the question if i was a canadian I would have ask the same thing. Edit: the salary I was talking about is monthly :)
  4. Good luck every1 i know you can do it. I have la charity, davis, gapuz, kaplan all 2010,im selling it for 50$ so pm me. Im in daly city. Btw i passed my nclex self study using only those books
  5. Hi is someone working at coalinga state hospital as registry psych nurse i need to know the salary, the rent at coalinga, nature of work, can i ask for more salary when asked by a recruiter? Ty so much reply would be helpful. Im from daly city by the way so im moving out

  7. @nicki,cnainadn thanks for the nice advice. Well I'm a BSN graduate. So salary is lower when your in the military?
  8. Took my nclex and passed last Dec 15 its been like 18 days since then im really bored. I have a Caregiver job that pays 17 per hour but its boring so i decided to go to Military instead. So is it Navy Nurse OR Air Force Nurse? Please Help me decided which is better because tomorrow i will call a recruiter and get it done. Being in the military is my dream so at least its Nurse+Military
