Danskos hurt my feet :(

Published

I bought a pair of the professional clogs about a month ago. Size 38 (I'm a size 8 in american sizes). I liked them at first and it helped with my plantar fasciitis, but it has been about a month and I STILL feel like they're not broken in. My toes and the top of my feet hurt after my shift. The tips of my toes are black from rubbing against the front of the clog during the day, but I thought I had adequate room since I am able to fit a finger in the back of the clog . Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm a size 7 and I was told to size up in danskos so I got 38. They are a little loose like clogs should be. They are very comfortable. My feet haven't hurt once and I wear them 13+ hours. Maybe you can return them or trade in for a 39.

You need to go up a size. I did and it is so much better

I'm a 7 US and wear a 38. I have the oiled black nappa style. I found that the patent ones felt tighter to me at first, though I'd imagine they'll break in. Sounds like you need a size up.

I second the sizing up suggestion. I wear an 8-8.5 US. I bought a size 39 thinking they'd be the right size... WRONG. I had the same pain you described. Sized up to a 40, my feet have never been happier.

The tops of my feet hurt as well! Hoping they eventually break in.

I have two pair of Danskos, same size. My white ones are so comfy, my black ones KILL the tops of my feet by the end of a 12 hour shift. No problems like that with my Alegria's though!

I agree with the other posters who said to try a larger size. I also am a size eight, but wear a 39 in Danskos. I also think it also helps to break them in gradually.... a few hours at a time.... and then build up to longer times in Danskos. I hope you are able to get your shoes to work for you. I love my Danskos!

I'm a normal size 8, but my danskos are a 40 wide!

I hate Danskos! They didn't help me at all.

I prefer Alegria shoes!!! They are so supportive!
