Cypress college RN program

Hi just wanted to see if anyone has applied to the RN program at cypress. Maybe we can talk with each other as we sit and wait for a decision. I just applied Sept 1st and am turning in docs tomorrow. We gotta stick together ladies!:yeah:

It was so very cool to get to share orientation with you all today. Loved meeting you te1990na looks like we will be great friends! Gotta love the people at all nurses for having a place for us to meet. Really excited to have a new excited nursing student to join our fantastic family at Cypress CNSA

Gizelle, It was very nice meeting you yesterday. I have a question, what did they mean when they said no scrubs? What is scrubs?

Its a kind of uniform it doesnt have buttons or a zipper in the front

My end of semester update well OB is one and I will miss it. I loved that class. I am now officially a 2nd year student in 3rd semester :) I'm halfway there!

Congratulation Gizelle, you deserve it. I have a question, can I buy my uniform from the cherokee brand? I was looking at their online website, and they have somethings I like? For example, can buy a top without buttons but have pockets? It just little different than the one presented at the orientation. The pants, can they be zippers and buttons but not elastic at the waist? I am sorry, I am just trying to get an over all idea.

Yes the pants can have zipper and buttons. The tops are suppose to have either bottoms or a zipper down the front and yes pockets are great you will need pockets big ones. Google scrubs and make sure wha you are looking at aren't scrubs. Scrubs are a style not just a brand.

Fundamentals of nursing by Taylor is the one we used you probably will too but wait just in case they change editions don't worry you will have enough time to order it online. They should give you at least a month to get them. If you don't get a list by January 1st send them an email requesting the names of the books because you have to have them shipped. For family night you do not need to tell them you in so your on the list my dear.
