Cypress college RN program

Hi just wanted to see if anyone has applied to the RN program at cypress. Maybe we can talk with each other as we sit and wait for a decision. I just applied Sept 1st and am turning in docs tomorrow. We gotta stick together ladies!:yeah:

Maybe some of you will do clinical at Anaheim Regional... I work there and did my clinicals with Cerritos there too and saw a lot of Santa Ana and Cypress students. Great place to learn :)

That would be great it's so close. I've heard we may do Saint Jude and UCI as well.

In case you didn't see the email those who took ATI teas at cypress do not need to do anything they will get the scores directly. Good one less thing :)

Hi there, I'm a nursing major and I'm about 2 classes away from applying. Does anyone know what the chances of getting into the Cypress College RN Program are with 29 points but with a gpa around 3.3-3.5 are? Thanks guys

Hi ok if you have 29 points your chances are pretty good to get in basically if you didnt make Spring you should definatley make fall. Both groups are pulled from the same application list so you have a better shot for fall because the 30 point people get pulled in spring. They dont really look at your overall gpa its more about your core prereqs when it comes to your gpa because thats where 50% of your points come from. What classes do you have left to do?

Since I'm on here let me update. I am finishing up 1st semester did my clinicals at St. Jude and I just loved it. My kids automatically know mommy is studying because its either that or careplans. The teachers are amazing so supportive not a single bad teacher in 1st semester for sure. The students are such a blessing they are the greatest mentors. Took us 1st semesters under their wings and makes us want to be better upper classmen when our time comes. Anyway yes this program is hard it takes all your time but I'm sure in the end its well worth it.

Hi, I was wondering to see if you guys go to clinical on the finals week?? Fall 2012 ends 12/15 on schedule, when will be the last day to show up for school if my class is Monday and Tuesday only? Do I have clinical till 12/15 even after my finals?

Ok for confuzhn you should be able to find it in the brochur that is through the cypress college website. For mochiko we did not have clinicals the week of finals I can't tell you the exact date or day of your last class because I was a spring start so my calendar is different but we did have about a week to focus on our finals. Will you be at orientation and family night? If so I will see you there.

I highly recommend for those of you starting get involved with the CNSA it really is a great way to network and benefit from the upper semester student mentoring out of the kindness of their hearts you also get discounts on insurance and CPR training. So excited for you and looking forward to meeting you. You will just love cypress we are a family and take care of each other from students to faculty.
