Cypress college RN program

Hi just wanted to see if anyone has applied to the RN program at cypress. Maybe we can talk with each other as we sit and wait for a decision. I just applied Sept 1st and am turning in docs tomorrow. We gotta stick together ladies!:yeah:

Agarcia105 if you don't mind me asking how many points do you have and what are your prereq grades? Or are you on the chronological list? You need to check case this is the 1st year there using the online system it could have messed up.

Well I will have to wait till Monday arrrr. I don't know my points I wasn't able to attend the orientation =( But my pre-reqs are A-B-B......Do you know how to calculate points? Also what is the title of the email say? Thanks for your help!

Email says healthscience@cypresscollege and yes I do know how so here goes A=5 B=3 they then give one point for passing with a C or better for each of the following: college writing, intro to sociology, speech, PE, a humanities class and an arts class and 2 points for general psych, and math 40 or higher and English then the have a list which is like 1 point each for foreign language EOPS need to work volunteer or direct patient work can't remember what else. So for classes max is 25 then 5 more for the extras. I think I got it all. So if you have ABB it's 11 out of 15 so even if you have max on everything else it's between 26 to 28 points but please don't take my word for it check with health science email them they will respond the same day a weekday of course. Just say I would like to know how many points I have and what the cut off is. This what I did

Did you apply at any lottery schools like golden west or Cerritos?

I dd get in I have 30 points and 4.0 in my prereqs but my 1st email denied me and I requested my points they said 27 and that I knew was wrong so I went and meet with the HS counselor and we found a mistake. My points were then recalculated and I was in. Yeah u should have gotten an email either way so u can get on the chronological list and meet with a counselor to see if there's any other points for you to get. Try Rio Hondo I have a friend who's friend got in and she had 2 B's and an A.

In case anyone is wondering we only need 62% on the Teas test. That's not so bad guess they figure it's so hard to get into cypress they shouldn't kill us with the Teas.
