Hi guys, I am from outside USA who went thru the process of CGFNS NY to take NCLEX-RN. If you have questions about CGFNS new york, ask me and I'll try my best to answer.
Cos I have seen a topic about this and it has so many threads to a point that it is confusing.

It's been month since they sent me an email and I've been emailing them weekly on what the status is LOL. How did you contact Comp Ed and how long did you wait till you got the approval?
NYSED gave me the email address of CompEd after I asked them. I would suggest emailing Comp Ed every 2-3 weeks. Mine took 10-15 weeks.
May I ask if you eventually use the service of CGFNS ? If you do , how long it takes for CGFNS to verify your license and school transcript ? Was your school transcript signature and seal valid ? How long it takes for CGFNS to issue report to NYSED after they receive your documents ?
Hi, I have an issue while making a CGFNS account. If anyone has experience regarding this please share with me. I have attached the file having stepwise procedure what I did and where I got stuck.
Please help with this
Thank you

This is a step that CGFNS is checking whether you have contacted the NYSED (New York State Education Department) to inquire about the requirements to be a nurse in NY state and you are confident that the CVS service is what you need.

Hi, what it is basically questioning is: did you 1st fill out the NYBON Liscensure application and send it? CGFNS will not process your application if they contact NYBON and see that you have not applied for liscensure. So make sure you send in your application first, track it with certified mail to make sure it was received. And then apply for the CVS. I waited 1 week to be safe and not lose that window that CGFNS will contact NYBON and look for my application.
Technically, to apply for NYBON ,you need to go through CVS. So I would just click yes.

If you school always has graduates who applied services with CGFNS , you application with them should be a smooth process.
Just some info, I applied for CVS Oct2019 and the issue of signature and seal of my school invalid is still not resolved (my school is new for CGFNS database). Also, CGFNS did not help to contact the authority to get my license , neither my school to get the transcript. So basically I am the one who contacted them to get all the documents I need and they sent those documents to CGFNS. And I am stuck as my school signature and seal are not accepted and CGFNS has not taken action in a few months time.
For New York state, I remember that an applicant can get required documents by using forms provided by NYSED and work with NYSED without going through CGFNS.
For what I experienced, I did most of the things myself (CGFNS does not assist), except that they check the signature and seals of required documents and issue a report to NYSED. And CGFNS being ineffective made me feel that it might be better if I initially did application without going through CGFNS.
Above is just sharing of my own experience.
Maybe someone else can share their experience.
All the best.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply
So, should I need to fillup the application on NYSED and CGFNS at the same time?
Furthermore, I heard that NY do not need job experience, but when I was filling the NYSED form there I need to fill up regarding the work experience.(as attached)
I am a fresher (got the license of NEPAL in march 2019) and I don't have any work experience. In that case, Can I apply for NY?

I did not fill out the NYBON yet. I was first trying to make a CGFNS account.
While going through the NYBON form I find the following (Attached). DO I need the job experience for NYBON to apply?
I got my licence in my country in March 2019 and preparing for NCLEX from then. Am I eligible to apply for NYBON?
Please let me know in this regards

No, you don't need a job experience. I am looking at the NYSED RN application site right now. What site is this screen from?

May I ask you why did you use CVS NY but did not send any documents to them? It's seems like you're paying for the service but did not use it.
The usual process would be:
1. Pay CVS CGFNS NY and follow all the information they gave you to process your documents (like print the cgfns files & give it to your school/license issuer)
2. Wait for the CGFNS to receive your file (which was sent by the school)
3. Wait for the CGFNS to verify your files then they will send it to NYSED after (8-10 weeks I forgot) regardless if it is done or not.To sort everything out, I recommend calling CGFNS and NYSED.
You can send your files directly to NYSED using the specific forms they have on their website BUT they recommend CVS-CGFNS-NY for FASTER processing. I don't know how long would it take if you won't use CVS CGFNS NY.
I hope I made it clear. If you still have questions, just ask me. I'll try my best. ?

At first When I have gone through CVS CGFNS I got stuck in page 3 (Attached here). Do you have any idea regarding this?
Thank you in advance
