Hi guys, I am from outside USA who went thru the process of CGFNS NY to take NCLEX-RN. If you have questions about CGFNS new york, ask me and I'll try my best to answer.
Cos I have seen a topic about this and it has so many threads to a point that it is confusing.

could you share with me how long did you take to get the new York approved email after you completed your CVS? my CVS report had sent to the New York nursing board for more than 1 month, but I didn't get any notice. thank you for your help!
It says there follow-up 6 weeks after. So I waited for 6 weeks, emailed them using the "Contact Us" page in their site also ask if they received your CGFNS file. I received a reply a week later. Then once they reply, you can ask them pretty much anything you have a question for, the will answer you.
Btw I assume you already applied the licensure at their website right?

thank you! yes, I had already applied the licensure, as you mentioned, you send the contact form to them, and then you got the approved email? I appreciate your kindly help.
@Ivylyu19 Not yet approved. They will tell you if your file was already sent to the Bureau of Comparative Education, which all foreign educated applicants go thru.Comp Educ. will take 10-15 weeks or depending on the volume of applicants, then it will be sent back to the Nursing Boards, takes 1-2 weeks to finally receive your ATT.If they'll tell you that your file was sent to the Comp. Educ., email the CompEd for updates if they receive it and INCLUDE all the necessary details for your file.
If they received it, I recommend emailing them every 2-3 weeks for updates.
I hope you're not confused.

You're welcome! If you have some confusion with anything, just ask again here. I got my ATT 11 weeks waiting in total. Now I'm preparing for my exam.

Hello! Was the board ok with your clinical and theory hours in psych , paeds? I feel I’m lacking hours.
@irishnurse96 yes, I have no problem with any subjects... How do you know that you are lacking in that area? I think the best way to do is call the boards first what to do & what they can suggest.

I just feel like I am as ive seen Irish/uk nurses are lacking hours.
May I ask how many clinical and theory hours you had?
also when sending documents for form 1, did you send secondary school transcript
Honestly, I did not see my transcript and my hours since my school sent it to CGFNS.
I did not send a secondary school transcript, just uploaded a scanned diploma.
