U.S.A. Maryland

Published

I have seen old threads with new grad pay in many states, but I can't seem to find a thread with recent hospital pay for new grads in MD. If any MD nurse can list thei hospitals new grad pay, with differentials and any other helpful information for new grads! Thanks in advance.

January 2016 medstar union memorial $25/hr for new grads, differentials are around $3ish for eve/night/weekend

that seems lower than Hopkins anyway you slice it.

2016 updates

medstar hospitals in Baltimore area-$26

baltimore washington-$27

univeristy if maryland medical center- $28

Holy cross-$30

Johns Hopkins- $24-25.. $28 with PACE option (40 hrs/week, no holiday pay or differentials as it is already factored in pay rate)

all of these places offer differentials in addition to base pay

Anything current on Mercy Baltimore; they have new grad float position I'm curious about.

I just started at Mercy and the current new grad rate is 28.13 with 4.00 Evening diff and 4.00 Weekend diff.

great thanks! I interview there soon, do you like the hospital overall?

I love it! It's a great hospital to work for. Good luck!! í ½í¸Š

Thank you!! appreciate the info (im sure many us on this site do :)

Any update on GBMC?

This is two years later but I was told by the recruiter at Holy Cross in Silver Spring is $30/hr for New grads plus differential! I did a phone interview with them a few days ago

Specializes in NICU.

Do they still offer loan repayment at Holy Cross?

Do they still offer loan repayment at Holy Cross?

I don't know actually! It was never brought up to me and I didn't think to ask. They give money for furthering education. It's 3,000/ year and 1500/ 6 months but I doubt that would go towards loan replacement.

I just received and accepted an offer at UMMC. The staring rate is 28.13 plus differential!
