CUNY Queensborough (QCC) - Spring 2022

Hello Everybody, I'm creating this post in order to follow up with each other regarding the application to nursing program at 

CUNY Queensborough (QCC) - Spring 2022 which will open in October 2021 
please post your GPA, Pax Score if you don't mind. 
I want also to know if anybody knows how the speech test is? 
I suppose to  take it, but I don't have an idea about it.

Yes, I have taken bio311, the reason why the nursing department strongly advise pre-clinical nursing students to finish bio311 before applying. I've heard stories where students taken both nursing 101 & bio311 at the same time and didn't meet the requirement grade so they got cut from the nursing program.

Yes I read that somewhere as well. But I'm committed and determined to do well. I'm just hoping they will give me a chance. ? Are you excited? When do you have to get the drug test by and get your BLS certification?

I can’t find any information about job prospects for qcc grads, how many get into the dual programs or even where they do clinicals. I hate how people get accepted into a school and never return to the board to update us about their progress or the program in general

Yes, I'm elated.  I think you will have to get a drug test and the BLS certification before you start clinical.

Hey no not yet. 

My guess is that they are still waiting on my final grades.

Good luck! Last semester I had classmates in the nursing program and in my 311 class simultaneously. Based on the emails they’re sending there’s a lot to do within certain timeframes but not impossible- hope they give you an answer sooner than later.

Appreciate it! So this is my second time applying, the first time I applied with a 3.6overall GPA, 3.5 on the pre-req and a 126 on the pax. This semester I focused on my pax score raised it to a 136 (the GPA being the same) I also focused on interview questions, watched a lot of Youtube videos and prepped my answers.

I will apply in Spring for Fall 2022.  Can you please give suggestions of how to prepare for the interview?  What are some questions you prepare for, questions asked during the interview?  Was it over zoom?

Hello H2BNi24. I will apply for the Fall 2022 nursing program too in Spring. Do you already take the PAX Exam? Did they still allowed you to take multiple exams? Thank you and good luck on your application!
