Hi! Is anyone else applying for the Accelerated Prog. for Fall 2011?
hey everyone... i just got an email this morning about a interview monday afternoon... i read something about interviews being randomly selected? what would the benefit of doing random interviews? does anyone know what questions they are likely to ask and when you say group interview, do you mean that there will be other applicants present or more than one person interviewing you ? im so nervous!!
Hi Kapoli, Although they may say its random the interviews are done to determine whether You fit what they are looking for. Will you mesh well with others and are you willing to set aside any egocentric attitudes (Not saying that you do have any) as a potential candidate into their nursing program. Congratulations to all who are being given the opportunity to interview. Hopefully they send out more emails with interviews on Tues or Weds. I'd like to know what that email said, verbatim. Could you copu and paste it onto here. (Anyone who has received an email.) Good luck to all.
Hi Helen, I'm sure there are lots of students who have similar gpa and nln scores. What's the next best thing to do???...that's where the interviews come into play. I'm guessing that they've narrowed their applications to the top (an arbitrary #) and will select the lucky 32 out of the top #. Some who have incredible gpa and nln scores are probably accepted instantly but I couldn't say if they've automatically accepted their top 5 or 10 applicants without extending an invitation to be interviewed. I'm worried because I haven't received an email either but if its meant for me to be part of this particular program, it will happen. Don't lose hope Helen, I'm right here with you :)
Hello all.
I find it strange that Hunter would want to do randomly selected interviews. I don't see any benefits to this except for maybe seeing the quality of students. But if thats the case then everyone should be interviewed to find the best quality. But I suspect theyre interviewing people they are unsure of admitting and everyone else has either made it or not.
I'm so curious as to whether the interviews are really random or based on if the applicant's rank is bordering the cut off for acceptance into the program. As stated earlier, random interviews don't really make sense...has anyone with a fairly high gpa & nln not get an interview? I heard of someone with a 4.0 and pretty good nln applying to the generic that didnt get an interview email.
