CUNY Hunter Accelerated Prog. Fall 2011

It's crazy how they are only accepting 32 students. If I knew this from the start, I would have never wasted my time taking my pre-reqs there. I would have just applied to Medgar or York College and go through the generic pathway program. This was never stated in the info sessions sessions they had. And sometimes, your pre-reqs may not be accepted at other institutions. Getting into Hunter's Nursing program is like trying to hit the Lottery and this is no joke.

Hey guys, I'm applying to the program as well. I found the NLN exam really hard. Did they make it harder this year? I scored above average but I don't think it's competitive enough. Did anyone score above 145

they told me the first week of may, lets hope they are being truthful this time.

Are we going to hear by late April since they said that the first week of May is interviews? Gah... is anyone not taking any classes at Hunter and applied to the college in general? Cause the deadline to accept/reject the admission to the college itself is, I believe, May 1st. And I don't know if I should accept and pay the 100 dollar deposit fee since I don't know if I'm getting into the nursing program or not...

Cat I'm confused.. You're not at hunter? They said you need to be enrolled to apply...?

Nope.. I'm finishing my undergrad right now at another college. I read that you need to apply for the school in general by Feb 1st and get accepted as well as applying to their nursing program?

"You must apply to Hunter College as an Undergraduate Transfer Student on http://cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate.html by Tuesday, February 1, 2011 . Admission to the nursing program is contingent upon admission to Hunter College."

O wow now I'm all confused they last told me that you have to be enrolled as a student in order to apply. I don't understand this school they keep changing their requirements and I can never get a straight answer from the administration. I hope we are future classmates is all I can say !

I am currently a senior at Rutgers expected to graduate this May. I submitted their Transfer student Application for Fall 2011 AND submitted Nursing CAS application too. That's how I understood their application procedure. Hope I am not missing anything.......
