hello! i am having such a hard time
figuring this out, but if any one has any sort of idea please leave a comment.
I am currently in city tech trying to get into the nursing program there, i took the kaplan pre entrance exam today. Which was horrible!! we were introduced to a new testing system since we tested with the NLN exam last year. However, we were told to purchase the kaplan study guide and boyy!! did i read that book from front to end!! the exam was a mess!! it failed to cover half of what was in the STUDY GUIDE!! there weren't any vocabalary or grammar correcting exercises like in the book, i was ambushed by identifying verbs and math questions and 2 parts of reading which was pointless. however, enough with my horrible day. i plan on transfering schools and re take a few of my pre req because my gpa isnt up as i would like it to be.. however,
does anyone know what colleges in cuny allow you to retake at least 2 of your pre req?
i wanted to attend kingsborough or try lehamn, megar evers, etc..
just lost confused and might i add frustrated..
:-(

Hello. I also go to City Tech and took the exam today. Yes, I agree, the test was not like the study guide. The writing part was so ridiculous. The Math was kind of tricky. I am honestly not sure how I did. As for you, you should go to the schools and ask them. It's best to do that. You'll find out more about their school and program if you actually go there in person. I had to do that.
I do hope someone answer's your question though. Sorry. GL.
hey thank you for responding :-) i hope you did well, i have no idea how i did :-( good luck i hope you get in. i plan on going to kingsborough and hopefully hearing good news
Hey. I got my scores back and I passed. Did you?
i did i got a 70 which is borderline.. not sure if i am getting in :-(
do you what is passing according to the nursing department?
I got 3 points above you. Borderline is 60-65. It all depends on your gpa really. If the gpa is good, you still have a chance. So keep hope alive!! lol. You never know, some people probably did not pass the test.
In the paper, they said they are looking for borderline and above.
thanks :-) good luck and i hope to see you in the program.
i am crossing my fingers as we speak lol
Same to you!!

Hi Dayana. I went to Cuny for 2yrs. I know you said you were interested in transferring to a Cuny school. I attended BCC and it was horrible. I don't recommend any attending Cuny schools at all. Cuny students from every campus transfer all the time to other schools. The tuition is very inexpensive but in the end it is not worth the headache. I was looking into Cochran and Beth Isreal before I moved to atlanta this year. I don't want to discourage you b/c everyone has to walk their own path just be very aware when dealing with Cuny. They make you take classes that are not shown in their curriculum. they used to make you sit for NLN exam which is extremely hard maybe thats why they changed exams. Anyway best wishes to you. P.S. is there anyone who can give me some insight to the 2yr. nursing schools in Atl? I would really appreciate it.
