    PVT failed!!!!!!

That really does not sound good, because If one didn't study for it, it may be more difficult for them to answer, which may result in a wrong answer. Thanks.

  4. I really need help! I am using the Kaplan course from my school. I have been doing the qbank/trainer and reading the content book (2013). I am pretty annoyed because I have been noticing many inconsistencies while comparing both. If you can help me,I'd be grateful. I am taking my test very soon and I want to know that with whatever result I get, it's not because of these inconsistencies. 1. In question trainer 3, it said for ECT, the patient will have a disruption in short and long term memory. In the Nclex content book page 579, it says confusion and memory loss occurs for recent events 2. In question trainer 1, it says a colostomy catheter is to be inserted up to 4 inches. In the nclex content book (page 208), it says up to 3 inches 3. Upon listening to the content video "Physiological adaptation", the instructor stated to cluster care for a patient with ICP In the qbank, it say to space out activities 4. In question trainer 2, it says that a priority for hypoparathyroidism is cardiac dsyrhythmias In the content book, cardiac dsyrhythmias is under hyperparathyroidism 5. Qbank says with myelogram, stay flat for 12-24 hours The content book says for 3 hours keep HOB up when dye is inserted 6. In the book, it says 6-12 hours after delivery, the fundus is located above the umbilicus. The qbank said that it is located at the umbilicus. I got this question wrong because it was an image question where I had to locate where the fundus would be. 7. In nclex content book 2011, it says for medical emergiences-airway obstruction, to do abdominal thrust. In nclex content book 2013, it says to do "five by five" -5 back blows, 5 abdominal thrusts, and then alternate between those two. My question is, if someone is choking, do I do the back blow first or do I do the abdominal thrust? I would really appreciate if someone can clarify these things for me. I emailed kaplan a month ago and they have yet to reply. Thank You so much!
  5. Just because someone does not have a job or children does not mean they have all the time in the world to study. If you want to keep comparing the fact that you have so much on your plate (children, a job, married), it's best you just find something else to do. Who cares! People have things to do in their lives besides school work (whether they have children or not). So stop judging people's lives. Also, sometimes, you really are aiming to just pass at the end of the day. Whether with a 75 or more. Of course you may want higher, but it does not always work out like that. So to tell people to achieve more for themselves, leave them alone. Your license will not show your test scores or gpa!! You got a 90 and someone got a 75, they can both be great nurses.

    City Tech nursing program

Hello CanteloupeRN, I have a question to ask, but I have to accept you as a friend first in order to PM you. So i will do that.
  7. You act like a "know it all"! Sometimes a fellow student may not understand something and may need help! That does not mean they are stupid. Some people take longer to get things, that does not mean they won't do well in the program. If we all study hard and try our best, we can all pass the program! So never ask anyone how did they get into the program. How is a certain someone in the program? Well, it's because they passed their exam to get in. So shut up and stop acting like you have a better brain than everyone else. Nursing is hard and I can say it if I choose to, that does not mean I am complaining. Some of you are nice and the others, not so much! Either way, when this program is over, bye bye! I want to be a nurse to help others! Nurses do not all have to work in the hospital!! Build your fellow students up, not down. We are all in this together!

    Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam

To Chazime. You just need to study A&P. As for math, know your fractions, some med math, multiplication and basically the basics. The reading section is weird, but it's common sense. Good Luck!

    CUNY colleges NYC (Kaplan exam)

I got 3 points above you. Borderline is 60-65. It all depends on your gpa really. If the gpa is good, you still have a chance. So keep hope alive!! lol. You never know, some people probably did not pass the test. In the paper, they said they are looking for borderline and above.

    Pre-Nursing student going overboard

Good Luck. I never heard of the HESI. I have heard of the NLN. My school(CUNY) has changed from the NLN to the Kaplan. Most CUNY's should be changing.
