Hey guys! Starting a new thread for this upcoming application cycle for CT community college nursing program! This will be my second time applying I was waitlisted last year at Northwestern #9 and I don't think they're going to be calling me off. (At the time of application, I did not have anp2 or micro completed) Feel free to post stats, ask questions etc..Applying is so stressful and nerve-wracking, we're in this together and good luck to everyone!

Nursing GPA 3.7

Where/when did you take Micro & the A&Ps? If it was at NWCC I wonder if we were in any classes together  

 

I took my sciences at Tunxis actually! I wanted to go to nwcc so bad, it’s such a cute school. I live in litchfield so it would have been perfect.

They just say first week of April. Last year it was on the 9th I believe. They send an email the day before decisions are released.

I’m applying to NCC and my overall ranking is 80. Unfortunately I don’t think this is enough to get in but I’m hopeful

Does anybody know the competitive ranking for Norwalk Community College?

I think 80 is enough!

Also competitive rank is technically calculated the same for all Connecticut Community Colleges to my understanding.

Is 96 more than they usually take? I’m hoping they add more students to the program due to the shortage of nurses.

Yes, it looks like it. I think they usually have between 80 and 86 students. So an additional 10 slightly increases one’s chance to get in
