Hey guys! Starting a new thread for this upcoming application cycle for CT community college nursing program! This will be my second time applying I was waitlisted last year at Northwestern #9 and I don't think they're going to be calling me off. (At the time of application, I did not have anp2 or micro completed) Feel free to post stats, ask questions etc..Applying is so stressful and nerve-wracking, we're in this together and good luck to everyone!

Stats:

Anp1, A-

Anp2, A-

Micro, A

TEAS-76

Nursing GPA 3.7

That’s interesting ....

I was #24 on gateways waitlist and got a call roughly 2 weeks ago. However, I know 2 people who got the call and were in the hundreds on the waitlist, so I’m not totally sure what their method is for calling people.

So they don’t go in order ?? ??‍♀️ That seems messed up if they’re just skipping around to random numbers… I should call instead of email and see what they say ?

I know that 25% of students picked are at random for equal opportunity. If the open seat was someone randomly chosen, they may have to randomly choose replacement to meet 25%?
Not sure

is there a date when they stop calling people off the waitlist?

is the hard part over? or does it get much more difficult from here LOL?

Hi! I applied to the nursing program at the Norwalk campus for Fall 2024, and I'm wondering if anyone from past (or current) cohorts could tell me what they think my chances of acceptance are given my stats, and tell me about their experience in the program.

Nursing GPA: 3.37

A&P1 grade: A

TEAS score: 78

I think using the formula someone else provided in another forum, this should make my "points" 86.625/100. Is this typically competitive enough to get into the Norwalk program based on ranking?
