I applied to Northwestern for next year’s start. Fingers crossed for getting in as it’s so competitive. If I don’t make it I’ll probably try for CCC for the next application period.
Good luck to all.
hey good luck, I don't see as much post on the thread this year compared to previous years. im hoping that means they're are less applicants.

Good luck!! I applied last year and got waitlisted #9. This year I applied to nvcc but honestly I did the percentages out based on how many applicants they get and how many they take and it’s all pretty equal between all the schools.

I hope so! LOL you think they would add more spots to the programs due to the nursing shortage.

My rank was 93% but I was still worried because they can get over 1000 applicants for only 96 spots. Last year was supposedly the most competitive year for the CC programs.
last year was the most competitive year? does that mean this year we get a break? LOL

I'm not certain but I think they take the elective with the highest grade.
I met with an advisor last year, who works out all the rankings for nursing applicants, and she said she only factors in pre- and co- requisites into the nursing GPA. The nursing packet states this as well.
So, for example, I took Bio as a pre-req for needed courses. My bio grade won’t be factored into my nursing GPA.
Let’s say a I took Art History and got an A. That could be used as the elective grade. (I think Art History is listed as an elective option??? I didn’t actually take it but hopefully you get it.? )
She also said she’ll average in the elective with the highest grade.
Hope this helps.

This is not in response to this post but some of your earlier posts:
Where/when did you take Micro & the A&Ps? If it was at NWCC I wonder if we were in any classes together
