CT-CCNP 2015 applicants

Published

Hello,

I've seen similar threads for previous years applicants. It would be fun to get to know some of the other applicants and be able I share info and cheer each other on. I'll start,

i applied to NVCC and chose capital as my second choice school. I got an 84.7% on my TEAS V, an A in A&P1, and my nursing gpa is a 3.7(ish) I believe.

I am taking A&P2 this spring, and have to jam micro into the summer.. But I'm super excited!

I'm #10 on the wait list for NCC, but also got accepted into BHSN which was my choice also so of course I'm going there! But what I hear from previous years you would need to be anywhere from 1-20 to be picked from the wait list they typically don't go further than 20,but at the same time last year ncc went deep as 30 on their list so you just never know, don't lose hope, anybody wait listed still have a chance! Good luck to everyone & congrats to everyone who was accepted

@twash37 first congrats on your acceptance to BHSN! So, maybe I have a shot? I got wait listed at #13 at CCC. I was certainly not expecting that. I was wait listed at #62 for the 2012-2013 cycle. My teas score for this cycle was 13 points higher so when I got notice I was wait listed, I figured I wouldn't jump too much higher than 62. So to find out I'm #13 this time, I was in complete shock. I was really down when I got notice I was wait listed again but with my number now the flame of hope has been rekindled. I just don't want to hope too much and not make it. I'll be so devastated.

christa_j fingers crossed for you!! Have you looked into any other schools like st. Vincents or Goodwin?

@Vicki2354 thanks! My fingers and toes are crossed! Unfortunately the mistake I made was only applying to capital, so I really set my self up for that one. I signed up to start at Goodwin but later decided that I wasn't ready to go back to school last fall ( I had just had a baby) and also Goodwin is super expensive. Funny you mentioned st v's because just today I was looking on their website on how to apply there. I told myself that if I don't get a seat this time around, I HAVE to apply to other schools to so I can increase my chances. When I did my FA I added every school in CT that offers the ADN program.

I'm #8 on the wait list at NCC hopefully I can get in fingers crossed

Hey guys just thought I'd repost my stats. First, because I had them wrong before, second, I figure it will be a good resource a little ways into this feed as a reference and also for any newcomers.

A&P 1 : A-

NURSING GPA : 3.2 (thought it was 3.4 but I recently realized I had been calculating wrong, or it could be because I used a different online calculator this time)

TEAS V: 67.4

WAIT LIST @ CCC : #13

When these feeds get long it can be hard to go back page after page so I encourage you all to repost your stats along with your accepted or waitlist status and the school(s) you applied to.

Congrats again to all of you who have been accepted, I am celebrating with you! And to those of us who are still playing the waiting game, let's stay positive! Cheers to everyone!

@diego103lk #8? That's awesome! You are in the top ten so you for sure will get a spot! I'm rooting for you!

Getting thrown into the pool and sinking to the bottom absolutely broke my heart. Especially since I've worked so hard and sacrificed so much. The cc need to do away with that system. My GPA at GW is 4.0 and my NUR GPA went down to 3.3 from transfer Credits. AP1 A, TEAS 73.3 my waitlisted # 12. I don't know how or when they start pulling from the list. Seeing people who got plucked from the pool with TEAS in the 60's.... I guess I will retake those classes that are messing with my GPA (soc & eng 102) and retake the TEAS. Congrats to those who got in.

Congrats to those who got accepted! I got waitlisted at CCC. Does anyone know if your gpa showed up in the "Met" section last week or earlier? Also, how many applicants there were this year for CCC?

what's your wait list #?

I know how you feel, but your wait list number is not bad at all! 12 is good, i came in at 13 @ ccc. Which school where you wait listed on?

I got wait listed at Gateway #12. I don't know how the system works though

Got in CCC!!!!
