Hi CT Future RN!! Thank you and congrats to you as well!! Yes we will be seeing each other! I have seen that there is a way to private message on here, but i haven't figured out how to do it yet. At this point i don't know much about what we need as far as books. Hopefully some others will follow this feed and give some input!! I have SO many questions! At this point, I don't really know anything, except that I was told I will be receiving an email next week with my instructions. My student advisor also strongly recommend i get Micro out of the way this summer because it is very hard to take with Nursing 101. Unfortunately, Micro for this summer at Capital is full for the evening Micro class. I cant take the day class because I work full time. IDK what i'm going to do. If i'm unable to get a spot in Micro, I will just have to prepare myself for a war come this fall!

Hello to all on this Nursing Journey!! I have been accepted to CCC's Nursing program for Fall 2015 after being called off the wait list. Application stats were A&P 1 - A Nrsg GPA - 3.1 TEAS V : 67.4 Wait List # 13 I wanted to start a thread for those who got accepted (CONGRATS!) there also in hopes that we can all share our experience on this journey-and to those who have gone before us, your insight and advice would be most welcome!! This could be a great source for all of us new comers, and a source of guidance for those who will follow our footsteps in the cycles to come. We are all on a new path to the rest of our lives and this journey is one that requires dedication, commitment, blood-sweat-tears, and lots of SUPPORT! I salute you!!!

Hi Guys, just thought I'd update to my original post and share with you that I got called from the waitlist and offered a seat today! I'll be starting in the fall! My stats are the first post I put up in this feed, you can see my wait list # there!!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!

Hi guys! CCC called me today and asked me if I still wanted a seat in the program. OF COURSE I SAID YES!!!! I broke down in tears, i was so overjoyed!!! The guy was very understanding of my emotional response lol! I feel like I have wings and I can fly!!!! IM SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!

did you take micro over the summer or did you take it along with NURSING 101??

i'm not sure if the community colleges operate pretty much the same, but im #13 on the waitlist at ccc and my advisor told me that many times in the past they have called #13 from the waitlist. Overall though i'm hearing that the top 10-20 on the waitlist usually get called, so at #16 i think you have a really good chance!! my advisor said however that they dont start the waitlist calls till sometime in may....so that means more waiting!!! This whole process is so much waiting...its enough to drive you mad!!!

Yes i agree. If I don't make it, I will retake my TEAS V. I really think that is what is killing me. My Nursing GPA isn't perfect, but it isn't that bad either. When I think about it, the first time I applied with a TEAS V of 54 and I got wait listed at like 62 i think. My teas this time was 13 points higher, and I got waitlisted at 13. So if an increase of 13 points can jump me up that much higher, if I get at least 80 - 85 on my TEAS V, i should have no problem getting accepted next year... right??? lol.

Hello all, so I'm giving this a shot and starting a new thread for all who have been wait listed for the 2015-2016 nursing program cycle. I applied to CCC, and NVCC is my second choice. Application stats were A&P 1 - A Nrsg GPA - 3.1 TEAS V : 67.4 Wait List # 13 Hope to get this going. Lets all support and encourage each other.
