CT-CCNP 2015 applicants

Published

Hello,

I've seen similar threads for previous years applicants. It would be fun to get to know some of the other applicants and be able I share info and cheer each other on. I'll start,

i applied to NVCC and chose capital as my second choice school. I got an 84.7% on my TEAS V, an A in A&P1, and my nursing gpa is a 3.7(ish) I believe.

I am taking A&P2 this spring, and have to jam micro into the summer.. But I'm super excited!

I am waitlist #16 at GCC. Anyone have a general idea of how deep GCC may go into their waitlist? Im okay either way, Im continuing my Bachelors in another field and will re-apply next cycle if I luck out! Congrats to those who made it, and good luck to those waiting!! :)

im #12 wait listed at GCC. I'm digging to see what past stats are as far as how deep they go into wait list from previous years. Are you taking any classes at GCC now? All my pre-req's are done and am currently in Micro and Life Span.

I was 18 on the waitlist in 2014 and now i'm finishing my second semester. There's hope. All depends on how many people give up their seat to go to another school. I gave up my spot at BHSON then too. Good luck!

I have actually completed my Associates degree in General Studies. The only classes I need at this point are the nursing classes. Good luck with both Micro and Life Span! I thought I was going to hate Micro but found it rather fascinating!! I hope it works out for us both!!

Hey, if you dont mind what were your application stats. GPA, AP 1, & TEAS ???

My GPA I believe was 3.67, the reason I say that is because I used an online GPA calculator specific for this program which apparently it seems they got rid of now. My A&P 1 grade was a B since I took it in the Summer few years ago and my TEAS score was mid 70's.

Congrats to everyone accepted! I know that last year NCC took 35 people off their waitlist which from what I've heard is not uncommon.

Hi everyone! I'll be starting GCC in the fall. Congrats to everyone else that got in and good luck to people on the wait list!

Hi everyone,

I got waitlisted at GCC at #8. Does anyone out there know if the application pool this year is bigger and/or more competitive than last years? Any info will be appreciated, thanks!

Thank you for posting that response. It's very encouraging to see a #18 pulled from wait list. Can you tell me when they notified you and how? And out of curiosity, how many made it in from the wait list, if you know. Thanks!

I got a phone call from Capital today. :)
