CSUSM ABSN Summer 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi all,

Looking to apply this month for Summer 2020! Anyone else on the same boat? I am currently taking my last class so I expect to update my transcript when grades are posted mid-Decemeber. Anyone from previous cohorts had an issue with this?

I'm a little anxious about my points- I'm in the low 30s but hopefully it will be less competitive in Summer/fall!

For those who received an email on February 14th, do you know if the deadline of 7 days apply only to ordering the package (drug test, Complio access for 24 months, and background check)? I'm not sure if I need to have my drug screen completed by the 7th day (tomorrow) or if simply ordering the package is fine until later on. Thank you in advance!

I think it just applies to ordering the package. Drug test, background check, etc are part of the check marks so I would assume they are due June 1st. I’m not 100% sure though. Either way, I haven’t done the drug screen either.

I think the deadline just applies to ordering the package. The email they sent out mentioned that you have until today to order the package and until June 1, 2020 to have all documents submitted with green checks next to them ?

& congratulations to everyone who was recently accepted!! ?

Hi everyone! I'm applying for nursing schools in the next year, so I've been looking through past message boards for what to expect. But just a random question, does CSUSM hold a white coat ceremony for their nursing students like the other CSU's? Whether it does or not doesn't affect my choice in applying, just curious LOL

Hey everyone! I got into the program for Spring 2020 so if you have any application questions or questions about the enrollment process (which is lengthy might I add?) feel free to ask.

Just curious what to expect with the first semester taking the "supporting courses". Is it one full day of lecture, like all three classes back to back? Or are they spaced out throughout the week? I'll be commuting from San Diego, so I'd like to get an idea of how many days a week I should expect to be on campus.

Also, I don't know if it's just me, but it's been over a year since I've taken a pre-nursing class so I'm afraid of being "rusty". Since we have a few months, should we be going over old anatomy/physiology notes, or should I just calm down? ?

Any helpful tips or anything you care to share about your first semester would be so appreciated!

I believe there's a pinning ceremony

@ the people who were admitted on Feb. 13th:

have y'all received an email about Complio yet? It's been over 2 weeks now and I've been told by my counselor to just wait for more information but I just wanna get it done already LOL

I didn't get an email either, and I was anxious about getting started, so I just went to the ABSN Admitted Student Information page to get started with the Complio stuff on my own. ?‍♀️

I made my account but didn't place the order yet because I made the mistake of submitting my $150 intent to enroll for the wrong term so I didn't want to make a mistake for Complio ?‍♀️?‍♀️

It's pretty straight-forward. As long as you pick the right package for our cohort, you shouldn't have a problem. You could also reach out to one of the advisors and make sure you're not missing anything. There's a lot to do, so don't wait too long!

It's just the new incoming students bundle (ABSN 37- $171) right?
