Hi, Starting this for anyone applying to the FALL 2020 cohort at CSUSM. I think the deadline is March 11th. Good luck everyone!

This is what they did for the Summer cohort. It took them a couple of days to send out all the invitations.

THANKS SO MUCH!?
Hey guys!
I'm in the Summer cohort, but I thought you guys should also get a heads up about what's been going on. There's a tentative plan that the cohorts will be pushed back a full semester due to everything that's been happening: The current Spring cohort will not have any classes during Summer & will resume in the fall; The Summer cohort will also be starting in fall & will be moved to the San Marcos campus. Our cohort has not been sent any official email about this plan, so many of us are left confused about our living situation (because we don't definitely know if we'll stay in Temecula or move to SM), & we're not completely sure about our actual start date.
Because of this plan, the ones that applied for fall MIGHT be put into the pool for Spring applicants. Again, this is not a "set in stone" thing, but hope this kinda gives an idea about what might be happening.
I am still holding out hope that we will still start at San Marcos in the Fall, since they haven't said anything to us that applied yet. We did receive the email saying they switched the Fall start from Temecula to San Marcos a couple weeks ago. Maybe since the other cohorts are in Temecula and ours is in San Marcos, it will be different? IDK. I will be sad too, because I don't want to wait until Spring ?

Same here. I am hoping that we don't get pushed back until Spring. This lack of communication to the people applying to Fall 2020 low-key irks me, especially how they kind of last minute told us that the Fall 2020 cohort will be in San Marcos instead of Temecula.

I agree. I accepted the admission into Summer cohort instead of Fall based on campus location. I live closer to Temecula. And now they are changing the campus again and delaying the start of the entire program.

Here is the relevant part (I'm in Cohort 37, originally planned for Summer in Temecula):
"I am reaching out to you today to inform you of changes to the ABSN schedule as a result of the pandemic and detail how those changes will impact your cohort. In an effort to provide you with the best educational experience we have decided to delay your start date to Fall 2020 (August 31, 2020). With the delay in your start date this means you will also now take your classes at our San Marcos campus. In addition to this, while your classes will be in San Marcos, some of your clinical experiences may continue to be in Temecula/Riverside county."

Thanks so much for the info! Also hoping to retake TEAS as April 22 one was cancelled, so looking into other options. Sitting on 31 points and as you said, hoping to increase that score by retaking the TEAS. Points definitely seem to be increasing each time! I was hoping applying prior to the deadline might help a little, but maybe they only take people with say 37 and higher during the first wave of acceptances... Or maybe they have 60 with higher scores to begin with each time... and then the second wave is opened up once some of those have decided to decline their acceptances...
Could you please explain to me how to actually reply as you did - I can't figure it out - and can only start a new post... thanks so much!
