CSUSB Fall 2019 BSN program

Published

It is early, but I thought I would start the discussion now for Cal State San Bernardino's BSN program for fall of 2019 so we all have time to discuss and answer questions before the filing period ends April 2nd, 2019! This is for both the Palm Desert campus program and San Bernardino's main campus.

I am applying to the Palm Desert campus since I am a Riverside county citizen and it is only a few miles from my home :).

  • As of this past filing period and onward, the school no longer considers letters of recommendation or volunteered/paid work experience.
  • At the nursing info session I attended, we were told they are only accepting your first TEAS score. If anyone has heard conflicting information to what I've written above, please let me know!

My current stats:

Pre-requisite G.P.A = 4.0

Overall G.P.A = 3.9

My G.P.A is based on the assumption I get an A in my microbiology class this spring

-I took three years of Spanish in H.S

-I am taking the TEAS in February and will update my score the second I get my results!

-I applied to CSUSB and will update my admissions result when I get confirmation.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I began to reply on here late I just found this thread. I also applied to the 2019 Fall program at CSUSB.

My stats are:

3.8 on my pre-reqs

3.8 on my overall GPA

87 on my TEAS

Bilingual

Good luck to everyone

I took the TEAS at the mall near my house in Palm Desert. If you go to the ATI website, they'll give you a list of locations based on your city.

When I dropped off my application off last week, I asked about W's and she said they don't look at them. And as for repeats, they take your first grade. ?

Good luck! I went to a CC for all my pre-req courses but, I'm choosing a BSN program at a university instead of my CC's associates program because it's super, super impacted and a bit harder to get into.

Thank you so much! Good luck getting in!

Hello!

I've applied to the CSUSB main campus. My stats are

PreReq GPA : 3.74

Overall: 3.88

Teas: 86.7%

Bilingual in Spanish and English

I have attended the information meeting as well.

Not a SB Resident :(

Good luck to everyone! ❤️ I really want to get into this campus ahhh!

Hello everyone,

I've applied as well. Does anyone know when we are able to know if we got accepted or not? The deposit deadline for the University's at May 1st and ideally would want to pay it when we get our results. ?

As for stats, mine are:

  • 3.95 on Pre-reqs
  • 3.91 on Overall
  • 82% on TEAS
  • SB resident
  • Not Bilingual

At the information session, I think one of the advisors said we get notifications at the end of May or beginning of June. Other people have commented that we get notified the first or second week of June.

My stats are:

Overall GPA: 3.74

Prereqs: 3.75

TEAS: 86%

Local resident

Polyglot

Attended info session. I hope I get in :(

I wish you all good luck my loves ? We deserve it.

Good luck to all of you as well! I will update if I ever hear anything. ?

Hey guy, this is the first time I’ve applied to CSUSB. When you look at their requirements page, it says *Requirements 1 to 6 above must be met for an application to be considered*

Are these a new set of rules or has it always been like that?

Hey guys how’s the wait going ?

Idk what to do with myself ?? I keep checking my email and mail to see if something came, knowing that it’s not even time yet and nothing will be there lol.

I've been checking the website for the past two years to make sure I'm still on the right track and the only thing that's changed is they stopped requiring rec. letters and one year vol/paid work experience.
