It is early, but I thought I would start the discussion now for Cal State San Bernardino's BSN program for fall of 2019 so we all have time to discuss and answer questions before the filing period ends April 2nd, 2019! This is for both the Palm Desert campus program and San Bernardino's main campus.
I am applying to the Palm Desert campus since I am a Riverside county citizen and it is only a few miles from my home :).
My current stats:
Pre-requisite G.P.A = 4.0
Overall G.P.A = 3.9
My G.P.A is based on the assumption I get an A in my microbiology class this spring
-I took three years of Spanish in H.S
-I am taking the TEAS in February and will update my score the second I get my results!
-I applied to CSUSB and will update my admissions result when I get confirmation.
Good luck to everyone!

So far here are my stats: (Applying to SB campus)
-Pre-req GPA: 4.0
-GE GPA: 3.9
-Overall TEAS score: 78% (retaking test March 18)
-Three years of Spanish in HS
-Not a San Bernardino County resident
-I have already attended an information session and had written in my notes that the TEAS can be taken multiple times and the highest score will be used towards the application, according to what I heard. This could be wrong but I will call and ask this week and update.
- Does anyone know if not being a San Bernardino Country resident will greatly affect my admission or not?
Also, has anyone looked at the application itself? It's so brief only one page long and literally only asks which campus is preferred, ethnicity, and then a couple other then you sign the app... kinda strange? I'm assuming they will just look at your transcripts for grades and TEAS results?
GOOD LUCK to everyone !? please comment here or message me I'm really curious about the program and would love to know more people applying as well so we can help each other in this process.
Good luck on your TEAS today!!!!! :)
Hey everyone, I have a question.
Based on my current stats, what do you think my chances are for admission?
Overall GPA: 3.9
Pre-req GPA: 4.0
TEAS: Currently 78% (retaking March 21st)
Bilingual
Non-resident
I'm terrified that my TEAS score won't go up and am just wondering what my chances are with my current stats...
I received my admission to the University today, so next stop is admission to the actual program ?
Good luck guys

I really think it depends on the stats of the other students applying, but your GPA is awesome and you're bilingual. Being a non-resident could possibly hurt you? Since they've switched up the admission process a bit, we don't have the past acceptances to really base anything off of anymore. Good luck!!

I'm taking it on Thursday as well!! I haven't been studying but I got an 82% on both practice tests. I'm just going to watch the A&P videos from Khan academy, and the TEAS math videos by the Organic Chemistry Tutor on Youtube.

I'm going to do a practice test tonight to see what my score is, then from there try to see where my weak spots are.

Thanks for all your replies, it makes me feel like I'm not alone lol. I called the school just now and the average GPA was a 3.7 and average TEAS was an 84.7. We shall see in June!

They have verified that they received my transcripts 02/09/2019. Do you know what date they have to notify you of acceptance or denial by?
