CSUSB BSN Fall 2020

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create this forum so we could share stats, ask/answer questions, and talk about the admissions process. When I went to the past informational meeting they said the following stats were for the past year admittance:

1. Average overall GPA: 3.7
2. Average Pre-Req GPA: 3.53
3. Average Overall TEAS: 85.5%
4. 300 qualify for application review and 45-50 are accepted

My stats are

1. Overall GPA: 3.843
2. Pre-Req GPA: 3.861 (assuming I end Bio 223 with an A which is what I have right now)
3. TEAS: 87.3%
4. Bilingual
5. County Resident

I'm a little confused. I just got an email from the department of nursing for an orientation session for transfer students. Anyone else got this? Not sure what this is supposed to mean.

Was the email sent to your personal email or csusb email?

Did you already pay the $100 enrollment confirmation? Also, in the email does it specify when and where the orientation will be? I may have not received it since I been lagging on paying the $100.

Yeah I did. I think it’s for those of us declared pre-nursing but not yet in the program yet. It’s actually from the natural sciences school. Not sure what the BSN offer is gonna look like.

Same here! I think it might have something to do with the payment. I also asked some of my friends who applied but haven't paid the $100. And didn't receive the email either.

I'm thinking the exact same thing. I just want all of us to get accepted already so we can focus on other things besides checking our emails every 10 minutes. LOL.

In regards to the other post that said they were accepted I wonder if it's acceptance as pre-nursing. Typically, more individuals receive the email or letter at the same time. It's just odd to me but with everything going on right now anything is possible.

Hi everyone!

I'm a CSUSB pre-nursing student. I heard some insider news (a friend who attends staff meetings and such) about the nursing department. They are currently a month behind on schedule than they usually are with these things so we should expect the acceptance letter to be emailed to us right around the "June 15" date they gave us.

Also, there are less applicants this year than usual. Not just the nursing department but most of the other majors too. I don't know the number or estimation. But knowing it's less than usual, that means we have a higher chance.. right? :)

The anticipation gets me on the edge! I'm scared but hopeful! Good luck to us all :)
