CSUSB BSN Fall 2020

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create this forum so we could share stats, ask/answer questions, and talk about the admissions process. When I went to the past informational meeting they said the following stats were for the past year admittance:

  1. Average overall GPA: 3.7
  2. Average Pre-Req GPA: 3.53
  3. Average Overall TEAS: 85.5%
  4. 300 qualify for application review and 45-50 are accepted

My stats are

  1. Overall GPA: 3.843
  2. Pre-Req GPA: 3.861 (assuming I end Bio 223 with an A which is what I have right now)
  3. TEAS: 87.3%
  4. Bilingual
  5. County Resident

I saw that too. Hopefully it’s sooner than later. Have you already paid the $100 enrollment confirmation?

What is the $100 enrollment confirmation? Do we get this through our email?

We have to pay $100 to accept our spots at csusb before June 1st. You can find it in your To-Do's in your mycoyote account. You also need to pay that to be able to register for orientation ( due by June 15th I believe).

Thank you so much. I logged into MyCoyote account and I don’t see it on my To-Do list ...

All I see is a MMR Grace Period hold on my Hold’s list. Have you gotten this hold as well?

And I find it whack that they are making us pay a $100 nonrefundable enrollment confirmation before we hear back from the BSN admission or denial. The only reason I applied to CSUSB is for the nursing program LOL

Are you already attending CSUSB or you a transfer student?

I’m a post-bacc student. I got accepted as a pre-nursing student

I know for sure transfer students are required to pay the $100 enrollment confirmation but not sure for your situation. Did you get your bachelors from CSUSB?

Ah okay. I did not. I got it from another university

Maybe reach out to admissions to see what's going on with the enrollment confirmation? May I ask what your stats are?

Yeah, I think I will. Thanks!

Sure. They are:
1. Overall GPA: 3.83
2. Pre-Req GPA: 3.84
3. TEAS: 86%
4: Bilingual: Yes
5: Local Resident: No

According to past forums, it seems like they do not accept people who are not local residents, which is a bit concerning for me LOL

Did you apply to anywhere else?

You never know considering everything we have been through this year. It’s worth the shot. I’ve also applied at Chaffey, Mira Costa, Palomar and CSULA. I didn’t get into MC and CSULA. How about you?

That’s true. Gotta stay positive

I applied to CSULA, CSUF, and CSUSM’s ABSN program as well as Rio Hondo. I got waitlisted for CSULA and CSUF, got into Rio Hondo, and waiting on CSUSM

Wishing us luck on getting admitted ????

GUYS I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING I've BEEN ADMITTED!!

I’m so happy right now but it was an email from the school, not the nursing department. I think that still means I got in!
