CSUSB BSN Fall 2020

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create this forum so we could share stats, ask/answer questions, and talk about the admissions process. When I went to the past informational meeting they said the following stats were for the past year admittance:

1. Average overall GPA: 3.7
2. Average Pre-Req GPA: 3.53
3. Average Overall TEAS: 85.5%
4. 300 qualify for application review and 45-50 are accepted

My stats are

1. Overall GPA: 3.843
2. Pre-Req GPA: 3.861 (assuming I end Bio 223 with an A which is what I have right now)
3. TEAS: 87.3%
4. Bilingual
5. County Resident

I am also applying for the Fall 2020 BSN program at CSULA. Here are my stats:

Prereqs: 4.00

Overall GPA: 3.95

No second language

Local resident

TEAS 85. I am supposed to take it again in less than two weeks but I am not sure if it is still possible with these COVID-19 closures and cancellations.

I applied for both actually and made a typo for this particular thread...

Oh OK, I checked the website and the fall application has been extended till may 1st I believe. Also, all applications need to be mailed to the nursing department since school is closed because of COVID-19.

I wonder since they extended the deadline, how long is it going to take to let us know whether we get accepted or not!

Yea, I saw that too. I wonder where the applications will go since they are closed. I'm also surprised that there's only three of us on this thread compared to other Cal State threads.

Good Luck to you as well! Have you both already received your admittance package to pre-nursing? I got an email about a month ago and an official letter from CSUSB in the mail last week or so.

Hey! I actually just received the email where it says that I was accepted as a pre-nursing major, but haven't received any letter. I was wondering if transfer students have to go to the orientation for the actual university and then if accepted into the program go to their own orientation.
