Hi you guys! I just got done reading the thread. This has been a roller coaster of a ride. Congrats to everyone that got in somewhere. I got the email early April that I was an alternate for Fall and today I got my acceptance. I'm on the waitlist for Duke as well and haven't decided if Northridge is a for sure thing for me. The whole 2017 hiatus is really bothering me and I really want to know whats going on with that. Any of the past cohorts have any insight to that and or how they feel about the program?? Any insight would be helpful in making this decision.

Thank you!!! I had just called earlier in the day and they had said just to wait. Hopefully tomorrow is the big day for everyone on the list. Wishing you the best.

Is anyone in the Fall cohort going to be moving to on-campus housing or near the school? or is anyone going to need a roommate? I live about an hour away from campus and was thinking of moving to the area. I last visited campus about 8 years ago and will be going soon to familiarize myself with campus and the surrounding area. Any suggestions for housing???

Can someone in the summer cohort let us know how orientation went? Did they say what you'll cover in the first semester. I'm just asking because I'd like to start studying before the semester starts and it would be great to get a list of books they assigned.

Can any current or newly admitted students give insight as to what the 2017 hiatus means for this program? The only information I've been able to find online is in the course catalog but their website and voicemail both seem to indicate everything is normal. Have the counselors shared more information with any of you?
